Did you hear what GH said about Heskey?

He said "I won't sell Heskey, he has big kop future."

For f##k's sake!

GH last night insisted Heskey will not leave Liverpool this summer - despite the arrival of 14m forward Cisse.
GH said the under-fire England striker remains part of his first-choice strike force alongside international partner Michael Owen.
The French ba#ta#d is adamant Heskey has a big future ahead of hom at Anfield - providing he can become more selfish and start scoring more goals. (Bollox!!)
He said "We want to keep Heskey here and that is my hope but let's make sure we get that fourth place first.
"I think Heskey could score more goals if he had more belief and I believe that will happen. He has real international qualities."
When I am going to play against an Arsenal or another big team, I know I need him because big games are his thing. He revels in them.
"If you ask his team-mates, they like his workrate as he works for the whole team."
He has a different style to Owen, Baros and Pongolle but he brings power and strength to the front line.

I can't believe what he said about Heskey, we know that he is not good enough to play for Liverpool, he has scored just 58 times in 221 appearances for the club.

GH talks load of bollox, I am getting fed up with him.

My views are you are a complete fool.

Heskey has shown what he's capable of (especially in the treble season). He was awful last year but has shown an improvement this season. Granted he's not been great but he's not had Baros or Owen to partner him for half of the season.

He's not the only player to suffer with poor form this season.

The only who hasn't has been Gerrard.

If he gets one more season so be it. You won't be complaining if he does recapture the form he shown in 2000-2001 though and i garantee if we sold him and he did you'd be even more p#ssed of with Houllier.

So shut your moaning.

Why should I p#ssed off with Houllier to let him Heskey go?

He is not good enough to play for Liverpool anymore, I know he had a fantastic year in 2000/01, but things have changed a lot now at Liverpool, it is getting worse now.

You said about Cisse, he will be very good signing for Liverpool, how do you know? No ones don't know that because I know Cisse play well for Auxerre, but Auxerre is different club from Liverpool, right. French League is not strong league as Premier League!

Stan, please do not come on this forum if you have no respect.

Gerrard Houllier, wether you agree with his team selections or not, almost died when he was working for this club. And I'm sure his doctors will tell you he still puts his life at risk by continuing in the job.

DONT call the man a ba#ta#d, have some respect.

heskey is not good enough for liverpool fc full stop, yeah he is been played out of position an awful lot.  But Emile has had enough chances up front and he just aint delivered.  Could you really see Heskey up front for Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea or Newcastle's side??? :)

Stan mate, take no notice of the to$$ers that are jumping down your throat. You're entitled to your opinion and I agree with you, just because they don't is their problem. No, actually the deluded keeping faith in Houllier is the problem. If people would see him for what he is then maybe we can move on. Saying Heskey will be great is living in denial. Houllier does talk ***** and I'm sick of it too. Stu bases virtually everything he says on what happened two or three seasons ago, about time you caught up stu

Owzat that proves lad i don't have short memory and i a fickle t#s#er who doesn't have any respect for someone who risked his life to get this club back to where it belongs.

You are basing your arguement on 55 games. Thats one seasons worth of games that lad.

He deserves another season with backing. If he gets it and fails then he had every chance to prove it and then its time for a change. Until that time comes i'll supoort the man as he is in charge of running the club i love. End of arguement.

I agree with this.
Why don't you think Heskey can play well? Did you see the England - Argentina game in the World Cup? What did you think of him after his first season at Liverpool? Or when he was in Leceister and one of the hot young prospects?

I've seen Leicester countless times for the last 10 seasons (father-in-law is a Leicester fan) and I can tell you when he was there, Heskey drove everybody up the f##king wall just like he does for us. Inconsistency and an inability to realise his potential is Heskey's trademark. He'll never change and I'm 70/30 in favour of letting the big fella go.

I agree, Woollyback. I can't understand why some of this forum back him, so Heskey is not good to play for us. It is not working for him anymore, I know he play brilliantly on his first season but you can't turn the clocks back.
It is time for him to move on.

stu again is talking absolute sh##e

heskey has been given at least 2 seasons to show what hes got and that is very little, ok the odd match he plays well but he'll always be a spurs/leicester sorta player, never a top player so dont give me a houllier answer about another chance, he deserves no more chances hes wasted them all

if stu actually watched matches instead of pretending to, he might know, hes the only one who thinks heskey is any good, well maybe not the only one, but clearly in a minority

wise up stu

there you have it...

2001 was three years ago.  Heskey had been given more chances to prove himself than others in the squad.  We could have gotten another hard worker who cost less.  Let boro or whomever have him.  Absolutely useless for the price we paid and the wages he earns.

The main arguments I have heard for Heskey are twofold..
Firstly he is a great team player who works his boll##ks off for the team.
Secondly , that he had a great treble season.
Both points are true but both don't necessarily mean that he is right for Liverpool in 2004. Working hard and playing for the team are attributes that I would expect from any professional footballer. On paper Heskey appears to have all the right credentials , built like a boxer , good pace and a powerful shot. In reality on too many occasions he fails to deliver , largely anonymous in many games and quite often starting to limp when the going gets tough.
His highpoint was without question the treble season , scoring 23 goals in all competitions and finishing joint top scorer with Owen. A great season for him but what has followed since then ?
He followed that up with 14 goals in 2001/2002  ( 9 in the league ) and then managed 9 goals last season ( 6 in the league ).So far this season he has scored 10 goals with half of them in the league. Is that a satisfactory return on a striker who cost us over 10 million quid ?
The Heskey apologists can argue that he has played many games on the flanks and that he has been played out of position as a result. This is a valid point but should not be used as a smokescreen... he isn't good enough for Liverpool and has had enough chances to stake his claim.

I am so sick of this heskey argument over and over again. Some of you to**ers here seem to think selling this player or selling that player will change everything. Selling heskey wont improve anything we'd only be loosing a good player..

Someone please tell me what selling heskey will achieve ?
Someone please answer,come on.

Take into account that we wouldnt get much for him on his current form.
