Well with any new player i get excited.

I am the eternal optimist.
The injuries are obviously a cause for concern but lets hope all that will be behind him.

One thing that almost everyone is saying about him is that he is a top player which is great.
The lad looks to have a great shot on him so lets hope when he gets fit he is allowed to play further forward.
He could be the key to opening up those stubborn teams that come to anfield with every man behind the ball intent on stopping us scoring.

Cant wait to see him in a red shirt now me.

How close are we to an injury XI? Degen, Aurelio etc
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

Lets give the lad a chance ffs, maybe his injury days are behind him, I certainly hope so. anyway he looks quick and strong the two essential qualities a midfielder needs to make it in the prem. I think he will prove to be a great signing.

BTW Big Mick, "Heimdall's harriers", pmsl  :bowdown  :D

For the record in Norway I support Molde, good little team who have just sold their striker to manure, although we have him for the rest of the season on loan, we are sitting in second but have a chance of winning the league although Rosenborg are looking quite strong at the moment.
I seem to be doomed to support teams in second place

Rumour has it that Aquilani will celibrate his first goal in style by removing his prosthetic ankles instead of his shirt and throwing it into the crowd.

I cant help but think ER is just trying to put a positive spin on things, fair play like.

You cant deny the injury record that he has - and I know what ER is trying to say by explaining them.
Maybe he has a point.

But you have to agree, if he didnt have a bad injury record at all, you'd be a lot more positive about this.

Looks like Lucas/Masch for the first 6 games of the season.

I doubt whether Rafa will drop Gerrard back to midfield; I think he'll stick with Lucas.

Let's just hope he's fit enough to start by October 4th when we are away to Chelsea.

Only professional to - play in goal (41 appearances), Defence, Midfield, Striker, and later be Director and then to be Manager (winning a Championship) - at one club

Ah, well it's that age old chestnut that a lot of us Liverpool supporters seem to be neglecting these days, isn't it? That of "let's wait and see". No point freaking out just yet, is there? We all like to assume stuff even though we know f*ck all.

In Rafa I trust.

Only seen him on Youtube and he looks boss nothing like Alonso in the way he plays, yes his injurys are a worry but Xabi was out for nearly 2 seasons injured also.

If he signs we will play totally different from what we have been playing as this fella seems to love to get forward, something we have lacked for the last few years, I hope Rafa lets him play his game and doesnt make him stay back ecspecially against the Stokes of this world.

Welcome to Anfield lad.

We didn't pay 20M for Alonso though.....and in any case, don't you think it's a tad naive, not too say potentially ludicrously risky, to spend 20M on a player who has been injured more often than not in recent seasons ?

Clubs have always spent big money on 'risky' players who are prone to injury, and always will. What's the big deal? An injury can strike at anyone. Owen, Alonso, Aquilani etc etc.

Thank fk we have a medical staff that knows how to protect a player from recurring injury  :D

Yes, but for some reason, whenever the name Aquilani is mentioned to us Liverpool supporters, some of us get this mental image for some strange reason:
