He will need to start finding a bit of form soon but he will have to do it at home as he is not allowed to play away!!

I was there and pleased he started, but apart from the assist for the first goal where he deserves credit for getting into the box, he was very very poor.
Even the most simple pass often went astray, he was just a few yards from Carra, right beneath where I sit, for a throw-in and knocked it over Carra's head for a throw to Bolton.

We looked a lot better when he went off and Lucas came on and Mascherano, who was outstanding, looked in a different league to Aquilani.
Lost count the number of times he gave it away and looked well and truly fed up when he was subbed.

I know it's early but he looked far from a top player yesterday.

I understand the lad needs time, but some of the mis-placed passes were not killer balls, just simple lay off's to a team mate.

He'd have probably scored against wolves

Sorry
Are you talking about Kuyt? Or Lucas?
I reckon Aquilanis got two seasons or 120 odd games to be as bad as those two.
Is there any excuse for Gerrards fu'ck ups? His awful excruciating useless corners?
Get off the lads back. At least he is looking for the forward pass. Unfortunately there isnt often someone to pass to. Yes he fu'cked up some passes. So what? Who didnt? He made the goal for Kuyt though didnt he?
Hes already proving his worth and if he gets more chances to play he will easily show he is worth 20 million

I didn't see Kuyt's goal properly, was it a miss hit as well?

I think that Aqualani may be trying too hard to impress as he is having limited game time, hopefully once he has settled and played a few more games we will start seeing the real player.

I dont think we'll see the real Aquilani until we get attacking players like stevie torres and johnson playing better, even Yossi

You said "he isnt a 20 million pound player". Therefore Rafa has paid too much for him. Therefore Rafa is clueless and stupid.

The layup for Kuyt's goal was encouraging.

Aside from being a good header, his run drew the Bolton CBs toward him, providing space for Kuyt to come in and finish it off.

2 assist in his last 2 games , he can be :censored: poor but the stats are there. His passing against bolton was below par , i think he was trying too hard maybe 3 or 4 more games and then we can see more consistency in his game. He makes intelligent runs and usually in the box to support. You can see with him in the side there is more fluidity as well

its too early to say. The lad has been dropped into a new league, muid season while recovering from a massive injury.

Yes, he's a chance signing, but its unfair to start labelling him just yet as a flop.
