The best discussion came when the team was competitive as people were generally more inclined to see eye to eye. Since last season, though, there hasn't been much to rave about on the pitch and understandably people don't want to be dwelling on how cack their team is. The forum became less a place of actual football discussion, and more a place of holding the manager, the owners and each other to account. Now, as I see it, this place is in a bit of a transitional phase much like the team is on the pitch. The two subjects who were the focus of so much debate, in Rafa and T&T, have departed and that's left a bit of a vaccuum, or so it might seem. Unfortunately - and since the team's fortunes haven't improved - all the energy that went into those debates didn't simply dissipate. A lot of it was carried forward and offloaded onto Roy, and that in turn caused others to continue to hold Rafa - and the people who defend him - to account. In time these disagreements will fade away, I'm sure, and at the heart of it will be a team and manager capable of putting in performances befitting of LFC.

That said, in the short-term, I doubt that the banning of certain members for, it seems, having a particular point of view will do anything but perpetuate the kind of disagreements that are responsible for said deteriorating standard of discussion.

Been here seven f'ucking years and I'm still surprised when I see comments like "this Forum's dead" or "the Forum's c'rap" . It's as is some people just don't get the fact that they are the forum (i.e maybe part of the problem instead of the solution).

If someone thinks it's dead, surely they should consider posting more often, if they think it's c'rap, maybe they should try and improve things by adding some more interest or quality to their posts.

The Forum will always change, whether it's for better or worse depends soley on the contribution we as members make.

Some have bemoaned the loss of "respected" posters, the saying "no player is bigger than the club"  can easily be transposed as "no member is bigger than the Forum". One things for sure, the personnel may change (it's inevitable) but "dead, c'rap or just sleeping" the Forum will continue.

What with all the arguing and infighting I suppose its not that much of a suprise that traffic is down but we won our last game ffs! Shouldnt we all be kinda happy and willing to tolerate one another until we at least get battered by Spurs on Saturday?  :D

Feel free to chirp in here and swear your eternal allegiance to Zod Newkit.

Kneeling is optional

Is it dead then?

And who won the war? Nobody, no?

Well, I quite agree Woof's view. I've been busier than I used to be and it's true that coming in here to lurk and seeing the fights doesn't help much to join up. Because those Royal Rumbles are understood when you're inside the cage, but spend a couple of months out of them, and you don't know how to join  :D

Well, at least I plan to post more in the following months, if that's good, or will be the last shot to the dying forum is yet to be seen.  :D

Where has everyone gone from this forum, I wouldn't say I was ever the most common poster but I use to come on here and you could always rely on all the old posters on here giving their pennies worth several times a day with all the banter and that.

This place seems to be a spent force and now no one is here anymore which is kind of sad but why?

It's bad times, heading for the gutter

maybe its just resting its eyes :D
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

I'd like to hear what S@int and BigMick have to say regarding the current situations, they were always good to provoke discussions though I think Mick just liked playing devil's advocate :D

There's loads of regulars who've diasppeared, even Nanny and Ciggy don't post anymore
