The only thing i was not happy with in the little bit that i did see was Calzaghe showboating i hate to see that in fighters well some fighters anyway. Some fighters use this in there build up an actualy in there fights but they are what you call the greats imo an thats part of there persona but Showboating is not something what i associate Calzaghe with an it dosnt look right when he does it

I was thinking last night why i cant take to Calzaghe hes a good boxer . Maybe its his cockyness of which im sure hes earned the right to be cocky in what hes achieved . Maybe its because he landed one on his ex missus a few years ago i dunno but i really cant take to him

Erm who predicted back about 12 months ago that Hatton would fight Mallinagi in the states . I really would like to go an see this one because to me its a make or break fight for Hatton . Loose an i honestly believe that will be him finished. no more fights

I thought Calzaghe was a class above on Saturday.

Excellent display.

I think he's an excellent boxer and a true great.

However I feel he NEEDS to fight Hopkins again to dispel any future taints on his career. Personally I feel he lost the fight to Bernard, he won on points (a split decision) but round for round, even though Cazlaghe was the only one going forward, Hopkins was a clear winner imho.

However Calzaghe has said he doesn't do rematches....

Did anyone see the Haye fight then? I thought it was a decent performance against a (half)decent fighter. Haye shown real patience in the fight and was timing his punches well. My concern about him though is that he likes to back up and look for the (knockout) counter punch. I'd like to see him use the jab more.

Thought Haye was very good and obviously has the power at the weight.
I think the doubts about his ability to take a shot reared there head again though and against either of the Klitschko's he would have to be very careful he doesnt get caught too often.
Cant see him beating them tbh either of them, they are just too big with better defences than what he has faced so far.

But give Haye credit his fights are always explosive and great to watch.

Hatton weighed in on the limit, a pound heavier than Malignaggi.

If he can trap Malignaggi for any extended spell(s), I think he's got it. Malignaggi will try and pick him off - he won't get drawn in because he knows he Hatton will be relentless.

I just hope Hatton is a bit more aware, he has to pick the right times to come in or he could get worn down again.

Yeah he has to win. There was some guy the other day doing a rap at a press conference on this fight. Dont know who it was but was funny as :censored:. I heard Hatton piled on the pounds a bit prior to this fight. Not sure if he bloated out proper like he normally does though.
