Very difficult to answer.

Have you played much Pro Evo in the past?

The thing this year about PES and Fifa is that one has got great production value and online functionality (Fifa), while the other was a poor effort but still has top gameplay (PES).

It really all comes down to what you want. Fifa still plays a very good game, and I hated Fifa's in the past. It's going in the right direction, but the control still isn't there yet. I've always been a Pro Evo fan, but this year was a sad let down. It still feels very last gen, and the online is a disgrace. Lags like nothing you've ever seen.

If you want a decent game of football offline just for sheer fun, get PES. But if you want a game that plays not bad offline but is great online with the 5v5 be a pro mode and lobbies, then get Fifa. There's a better social element to Fifa online by a mile.

have always been more of a pro man

but these recent ones fifa wins

the new pro reminds me of a 90s football game, too easy to score, to fast and in terms of playability, presentation and skills you can do fifa is streets ahead

fifa street however is shitttt, every player has the body of some scrawny runt

I think 2 years ago Fifa stole away Pro Evos top production man, that has had a big impact on their game catching up, and in my opinion surpsassing (as an overall game) Pro Evo.  Too much money behind the EA Sports Brand

For once, FIFA comes out tops this year. Although I haven't played the new Pro Evo, it sounds like it hasn't (ironically) evolved with the next gen consoles. After years of FIFA being a glitzy title with no playability, this year it has it all. I'm a die-hard fan of the Pro series - ever since the ISS Pro days, but last autumn I invested in FIFA when purchasing my 360. I was bowled over by the depth of the game, the amount of teams, the manager mode, the licensed kits, the number of players and the commentary. What impressed me most though was how much the gameplay had improved, it was so much more fluid and realistic compared to FIFAs of the past.
As we all know that you're a 360 man, FIFAs your best bet for that console. Plus I can give you a whooping - when you're not playing PGR4 that is :D

PES has been the daddy for years but the general consensus seems to be that its lost its way a bit and now most people would say FIFA.

Ive been trying to decide between the 2 all week, so I will listen to the majority, and go for Fifa.  I loved pro evo in its earliest years but lost interest after 3...bring back sensible soccer I say! lol
