Cant be bothered paying silly money for an I phone contract so was hoping someone on here might have some advice on what is the best of the rest ?

Was thinking maybe the Samsung Galaxy

Anyone know there phones on here ?

I'll give my vote to the HTC One X+.

This phone is very similar to the Galaxy SIII, except the specs are slightly better on the HTC since the + version was released. It also runs an updated version of Android. Amazingly it's cheaper that the SIII as well, this is due to the marketing success Samsung are currently enjoying and the fact the SIII is considered a fashionable phone. Try it out, I've had one for a few months and it's far and away the best phone I've ever had.

Corrected it... :p

But I think there will be alot of new generation of phones coming out soon with full HD resolutions... the Sony Xperia in particular is looking pretty good...

f*cking first world rich people. You're wondering if you should buy an iPhone or a Galaxy and I'm using some kind of shitty Nokia. The best "app" it has is a calendar.

I have an IPhone 4. I believe there are technical issues with IPhone 5, can't remember the specifics, but I know a lot of people have complained.

IPhone 4 is good, as is Samsung in equal measure.

Contract wise, I recently got a Virgin SIM only contract, and for me, it is well worth it.

Essential SIM Only £12 per month

Your tariff gives you:
    1200 minutes
    Unlimited texts
    1GB Mobile Web

On tech specs maybe, but I have had both Android and Apple phones and the operating system on Apple phone is superior. Ok less customisation but performance wise and build quality streets ahead. Hence why you see Apple iPhone in the top 2 of every review if smart phones. The only time they lose the top spot is to the Galaxy S3, and that is a technical edge.

Decent phone but it suffers with the same problems as the Samsung, Nokia and HTC phones - they aren't the I Phone.

My OH went for the S3 purely because she doesn't like "Apple" and regrets it.

The I phone hands down wins it every department for a smart phone

That's a shame.

What do you have at the moment ?

Just go with what you are familiar with.

I would never recommend the Samsung though - it just looks ( on the screen icons etc ) backdated and Childish.

I've got a blackberry torch mate

Just done a quick price check and the I phone 5 with unlimited usage is £46 a month
Cant be doing with paying that much.

So would you get an I phone 4 rather than the galaxy ?
