In a few cases, 5% or so, an alter ego in a forum is made for fun and it's fun for others. In many forums and in many cases though, it's bad for the forum and it's a sign of weak personality.

I find strange how some newbies agree with some polemic posters Mudface is the kind of idiot that would create a new account to agree with himself

I personally do not like doing that, and even if I did, you'd spot my "peculiar" english in 2 or 3 posts, if not sooner

As I said before, I know that a few people have alter egos. Judge has admitted this on another thread, because he is being blamed on being someone hes not.......

I'm sure that Judge is not the only one. And there is nothing wrong with having other ID's. But all these corrie posters are the work of one person (and I'm not pointing a finger to anyone) who loves to get noticed. Its sad to think that this person has sat at home and created these accounts and the names too. I would'nt mind if they posted something of interest, but its all cr@p. A good thread is started and along comes Norris and co and the thread go's out the window.
I know that a few people said it did not bother them as long as it was kept to General Chat, but what about the people who only go on General chat? They have to read this spam. I would'nt mind if it was just one or two posts, but its on every bloody thread.
