Watched "Chappie" last night.

From the mob that gave us "District 9" think Short Circuit meets Robo Cop .

Some good laughs and loads of gunfire

Anyone seen Whiplash (2014) about a young jazz drummer trying to make it big? Lots of good music, emotion and tension. Well worth watching. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2582802/

Spoil it all and watch this....... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4noaE0CdZUw

Flew back from the UK to Singapore so saw a few films.........  Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014) with Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, Samuel L. Jackson etc.. light hearted, well made spy thriller, good performances all round. Recommended.

Not often I almost immediately want to watch a movie again but I'm already thinking this is possibly the most fun movie I'll see this year  - "Stretch"

Saw it myself today and couldn't agree more about visuals and action scenes

Though could have done with a bit more character development

Watched Sean Penn in The Gunman.

Fairly decent actioneer although a bit surprised to see an actor of Penn's calibre taking the role.

Movies watched recently

Kingsman - brilliant fun , great British humour film - very enjoyable

American Sniper - very very good , told the story very well

Theory of Everything - the young man played the part very well but was bored by the film

Avengers - it's ok - just CGI tastic really

Got Foxhunter to watch and then going to watch Jurassic Park

Watched a couple of Al Pacino movies this last week. Manglehorn and Danny Collins.

Have always been a fan of Pacino but these two movies are totally underwhelming, can only assume he did them because he needed the cash.

Avoid, and put the couple of hours saved to better use.

Thanks.  :D

I watched run all night and that was good too.

Can you recommend anymore action/thriller type movies?

I'm waiting around for Legend with Tom Hardy who plays the Kray twins... That hasn't come out yet has it?

Sorry KK, off the top of my head can't think of any good actioneers you probably haven't seen   :(

Like you I'm also waiting for Legend, trailer looks superb.

If you fancy a good comedy check out "Stretch" I posted some trailers earlier on this page, the Hoff had me ***** myself  :D
