Got to cinema late yesterday so I missed Harry Brown

Ended up watching Robin Hood which I hadnt wanted to see but quite glad I did know

Certainly a different take on the legend but I certainly enjoyed it even with this some of the flaws. Though it did have origins movie of trilogy written all over it.

Besides that the trailers for Shrek, A-Team and Knight and day looked like a lot of fun (but then trailers usually do)

from Cinematical

Jim Carrey's 'I Love You Philip Morris' Delayed Again

Jim Carrey's had a rough go of it lately, movie-wise, and I Love You Phillip Morris is a prime example. Morris, which costars Ewan McGregor, was initially planned to hit theaters in spring 2009 -- check out a promo image of it from 2008 here  -- and premiered at that year's Sundance Festival. Based on the true crime novel by Steve Mcvicker about Steven Russell (Carrey), a married man who ends up in jail and falls in love with his cellmate, Philip Morris (McGregor); in real life, Russell broke out of jail several times, but his ultimate desire was to help Morris escape as well. In the movie, Russell is released from jail but desperate to spring his lover as well, which requires him to pull off a number of capers in order to free Morris and get enough money so they can live a life of luxury on the run

Dl'd and watched "I love you Phillip Morris" starring Jim Carey and Ewan McGregor as two gay prison inmates. To see the pair of them slobbering over each other came as quite an unpleasant surprise and the sight of the formerly young "Obi Wan Kenobi" giving blow jobs and spitting out a gobfull of jizz was downright offensive .

Although the performances from Carey and McGregor where nothing if not brave, billed as a comedy/drama the movie is in fact short on comedy and almost completely devoid of any drama.

Honestly Laz, I found myself thinking "just how much money are they being paid to do this movie"

Career wise it's added nothing to their CV's and may well have lost them some more of an already dwindling fan base.

One was bad enough...

...two would be a horror show...

...and three would be excruciating.

Anyway im looking forward to the 2nd one although I imagine it will be a few years before it's finished production.

That's what I thought too bungle. 'Bunch of blue aliens and a human dressed as a blue alien ??? ' - but I actually really enjoyed it.

Sorry Bav but I couldn't stand it.  OTT special effects welded unto a ham-fisted and uber-cliched story that's been done to death in Hollywood.  And now we have to put up with a whole 3-D phenomena it's spawned.  Bunch of bollox it was.  :no

My missus watched it, well half of it, she fell asleep !

The whole 3D thing, its a nice little deviation from how poor a film is.

I watched one of the best films ever made earlier in Metropolis. There is simply no comparison with todays films compared to this one. A masterpiece.

It's the top grossing film of all time, by a mile. It smashed Titanic's record and it almost made 3 billion. Not bad for a so called bunch of bollox. It wasn't agreat film, but it was decent and it was different no matter what the doubters try to say about it. 3d in a film like that is an experience and I thought it was absolutely fantastic. Roll on the second one and flesh out the story.
