will be watching 300 again this week, not seen it at the cinema yet but its such a good film on the small screen it can only be better watching it on the big.

after reading the story of the battle the film would of been so much better imo if they stuck to the original events of what happened at the end. didnt any of you find it a bit strange that once they where surrounded they just let themselves be killed, in the story of what happened the king was one of the first to fall and the spartans had to fight of the enemy many time from taking his body, once surrounded they didnt just let themselves be killed but took it upon themselves to die fighting and attacked the enemy killing thousands, now from watching the film and the impression you get of the spartans this is what you would of expected of them. still having said that it is still a great film but could of been better.

must see.

I do but its on a signup site, and registrations are closed at the moment.  I'll keep an eye open on the other sites I use and see if it pops up.

Just saw the Departed last night having been away on holidays when it was in the cinemas.

I'm a massive massive Scorcese fan but the Departed is not one of his best. Its a good crowd pleasing "Hollywood" thriller in the mould of his previous effort Cape Fear but its not a patch on his best work, such as Goodfellas and Raging Bull. Its ironic that Scorcese finally won the oscar for one of his more pedestrian works.

Disapointingly Scorcese hasn't had a great film since the criminally under rated Age of Innocence and his films of the last 10 years have been far short of his best.

All things are relative however, and the Departed is still a hugely enjoyable film.
