ICC World Cup
Ireland v England, Guyana, 14:30

Well, well, well!

So Ireland have somehow made it to the Super 8s, have they any chance against England, well they did beat Pakistan (thats a whole other topic)!

Have the any chance or will England destroy them?

By the way I cant believe I have posted a topic about CRICKET   :upside:

During the spud famine a bowler lost his coat! The batter was on cod and they all went to heaven on a little rowing boat!

Yes unfortunately it resulted in brain damage...thats why they support Celtic and think that Neil Lennon can play football! :D

We'll fucking shit 'em!

(Runs away from thread, awaiting a shit storm :D  )

In  all seriousness I am a big fan of cricket, admittedly since the Ashes victory in 2005, but since then I have tried to watch as much as possible. The Ashes this year was a embrassment and we have not exactly set the world on fire in the World Cup yet, but here's hoping.....

It is a sad day when I have to point out a cricket fact but England actually have "a paddy" in their team, some guy from Bray. How cr*p must your cricket be to be thieving paddies?

I don't know how many English guys are on the Ireland team but I don't see why in the land of the great sport of hurling a man would want to play cricket.

I don't give a f**k about the Irish cricket team - hope England hammer them (which they obviously will)

Found out that 3 aussies and a few English on the "irish" team so I don't give a f**k about them. Granted England have an Irish man (FFS) and a south african in their team.

I'm the same with football, glad Jack Charltons foreigners era is gone. Now practically all our players (Given, Duff, Dunne, finnan, O'shea, Keane,Doyle, etc) are all Irish.

Rugby is going down that route too. There should be no "foreigners" in a national team in any sport.

Plus, what type of Irishman wants to play cricket?

I've been watching this on telly this afternoon and "Ireland" are giving England a rattle.

I'm with Big Niall on this, I'm sick of plastic paddies on the Irish national teams and whatever the Irish football team's woes, at least 1-11 are Irishmen, not just Englishmen looking for an international game.

I went to the same school as Kevin Doyle and my sister knows him, and I once say Shane Long play hurling in Croke Park.
