Head Movement

As for Jack Ruby, he was well known as being a hothead and nutter who always carried a gun with him. He said he simply shot Oswald when the opportunity arose. If the US government supposedly assassinated their own president, they could have chosen any number of more reliable and capable professional hitmen to take out Oswald, rather than depending on Jack Ruby, the violent and volitile son of a Russian Army deserter.

JFK was killed by Lee Harvey Oswald who, like Mark Chapman (who murdered John Lennon) was a small and insignficant man who wanted to be recognised for something. Killing a famous person immediately gives the murderer eternal fame because they will always be linked to the person they killed.

spot on. Jack Ruby was like very similar to Lee Harvey Oswald...both wanted to be 'remembered' for something and both were total losers.

It's a really interesting thread this and both sides argued their cases well. I'm not sure where I stand on all the issues, but I've got an instinctive mistrust of governments of all creeds and definately think that we don't know the half of it on most issues.

Common sense tells me that story about them finding one of the hijackers passports in the rubble was total b0ll0cks. Besides anything else my feeling is they'd probably have used false passports anyhow though obviously I might be wrong. I suppose it doesn't really matter overly as long as they pinpointed the right people but it just didn't ring true to me.

Similarly, all that stuff about those pssengers bringing down the pane which was heading for the Pentagon or White House or whatever it was sounded a bit suss as well. My feeling at the time was it was probably shot down by an F15, and I suppose under the circumstances it was understandable.

Kennedy was of course not shot by Lee Harvey Oswald on his own as Keven Costner "proved" (good movie that, even if bits were "missed out" :D ), the moon landings never happened as the photo's are obviously taken in some disused 'Toys r us' in Arizona, while the Belgrano was nowhere near the exclusion zone and was actually off the coast of Scarborough when we torpedoed it.

Never trust the feckers they'll tell you anything if it's their neck on the line. The royal family don't fight in wars either however many medals they have. I've always said I'd represent my country in any war anywhere in the World as long as one of them feckers is stood within arms length of me.

anyways it's a rare excursion into this part of the forum for me, best I get back to the rotation eh    :D

Pi$$ing meself reading this thread...what a way to spend an afternoon...
FYI - there's more culture in a pot of Danone Activia than in the US of A. That's why they make the best sci-fi series and the best conspiracy theories....

You've surprised me with this post, Mick. I didn't think you'd find any of the theories credible to any degree. I'm fairly open-minded about these things, including stuff of the paranormal. Always have been. I was fascinated by ghosts when I was a kid (that kind of stuff normally scares the sh*t out of most kids) and read books about them and believed all the bullsh*t stories my mad uncle used to tell me.

It's all down to what you believe in. Most conspiracies are flawed, but then again, they are theories and most theories in general are. However, it's my belief that they often do spring from a grain of truth, and a grain of truth is all that's required for some of these theories. We'll never know what really went on. Ever. They're just too big for the average person, and perhaps this is why they will always be crazy theories never to be proven. I know for a fact (my personal view) that governments do conspire to commit murder.

No need to beat a hasty retreat, Mick.  Your interests and insights can have a home in here.  In fact, I've got just the conspiracy for you:

"Rotation" is a pernicious myth created and perpetuated by the Southern media (sorry Daws :D ) as a means of undermining Rafa Benitez.  The aim is to get Benitez sacked so that he can be replaced by someone who provides "better copy" to the journos.  Discuss. :D
