would be intresting if spain had the full strengthen midfield and england do i would be keen on the battle gerrard vs alonso. vicente will be missing for espana  :(

but isn't that a good thing his scoring goals and not acting like a prat like beckham. his a good footballer yeh but he shows off top much what do u want lampard to do just pass the ball and protect the back 4  ???

I think the modern day central midfielder is required to be as close to the complete footballer as possible. But obviously not everyone can be a Gerrard.

Don't get me wrong, Lampard is a good player, but when you pair him with Gerrard you don't get the best out of either of them.

Both of them play better alongside an anchor man,i.e Makalele, Hamann.

So if its a straight choice between the two, I would pick Gerrard every time.

No not all.

Ask any fan in the country and they will tell you that Gerrard is better than Lampard.

Gerrard is clearly better than Lampard, anyone who suggest otherwise doesn't know what they are talking about.
