Maybe he should sign for the bitters, he'd fit in well!!!  :p

Wheres he said that?

On ITV.

He implied that the ref favoured Spain because he didn't send off Silva (in fact BOTH players headbutted each other).

They asked him if he would be punished for saying such scandalous things and he arrogantly replied that he's retiring from international football so they can't get him.

However he still plays for a club so he can definitely be suspended and fined.

 what a douche

Yeah i thought i was the only one who saw them both headbutt each other

Well done spain anyway, my obvious favourites from the beginning, annihilated anybody they came up against.

Made up for torres and xabi, and arbeloa and pepe

As the commentators said, teams can get that bit of luck that helps them win in these competitions but spain didnt need luck

I have not posted in this thread as everytime I fancy a team to win anything they always loose, so I kept my mouth shut!!!

It was a very tense day in mine today. My team Spain and my other halves team Germany, both in the finals of Euro 2008. We spoke very little to each other all day. Avoided each other at all costs. Before the beginning of the match we had a bit of banter. The usual stuff... your gonna get battered... Germany is the better team.. you know what I mean. I never said a thing. Seconds before the start of the match I put on my RCD Mollorca shirt and its all go!!!!! Beer tins are cracked open, everyone stops what they are doing and football talk starts to take over!!!
33 mins later I'm on my feet, screaming and yelling!!!! VEN EN TORRES!!!!!!
The other half is shouting "Germany will come back! We'll beat yous 4 - 1"
I'm like "I dont think sooooo"
Spain played so well. It was like the Germans where somewhere else.
By half time the lesser half is throwing beer tins at the TV, willing Germany to score!! I know in my heart its never gonna happen. So we make a bet. I say "if Spain win you have to sleep in my Mallorca shirt?! He says no probs.. we shake hands.. more beer is cracked open!! Roll on the 2nd half!

The 2nd half begins and I'm thinking theres no way Germany are gonna score!! They had'nt the heart for it.
By the time it got to 90 minutes my other half had his t-shirt of waiting for the final whistle.
Que the final whistle. My Spanish chums and I are dancing round the living room and my other half was sitting inthe corner, totally bewildered......... in a RCD Mallorca shirt!!!!!!!!! And hes away to bed in it!!! I love a man to keeps his side of the deal!!!!!!

The only fúcking fixed thing here is the mentality of German football who haven't provided anything innovative to the European football in the last two decades

I dont know if thats ket pottle and black from a Liverpool fan.

Yes German football isnt the best in tecnique, but spirit, heart and industrious play has seen them become WC on a number of occasions. Both Spirit and heart is something both the English and Spanish in the pass have lacked. Germany like Chelsea know how to win and grind out results and are ALWAYS there or there abouts in Cup competitions.

I think this is what makes the game so beautiful, the coming together of different styles of teams.

Nothing of this would have happened if Torres and some of our lads weren't in England.

The pre-Liverpool Torres wouldn't have won that ball to Lahm, using his arms and everything to get his position. I think that the real secret is that our player's game is more complete thanks to those playing abroad. The irony of that goal was that Xavi-Torres connection hadn't appeared until that pass.

It also proves that muscle and a better stamina can be countered by making them chase the ball: if you manage to do that they end up exhausted, Germany ended the game very tired.

Ah, and thank you :)
