Rooney disrespectful

International Football/Football World Wide - General Discussion

The following is an insert from PL.com's report on the match between England and Spain.

Talented Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney made a string of rash challenges after being booked for a dangerous push on goalkeeper Iker Casillas, after which Sven-Goran Eriksson hauled him off in the 42nd minute.

Rooney’s response was to strip off the black armband worn by the entire team in respect to the late Liverpool defender Emlyn Hughes and flinging it to the floor.

[Before anyone says that Alonso and Josemi did the same thing this weekend, I saw that Alonso's arm band was falling off and afterwards Milan Baros was helping him put it back on]

Rooney's response was certainly disrespectful but then again he does play for Man Utd.

****** Rooney, he is an absolute c.unt. He is a good player yes, but he acts like a spoilt little brat on the pitch, his attitude sucks and if he continues to act in this way, then no matter how talented he is he will never be considered as one of the greats.

Thank Jesus. [Hopefully Baros will recover by Saturday]

Wayne Rooney is showing his true Man Utd colours.

Erickson made a mistake in taking him off with 4 minutes left to half time as it will only amplify the hype about Rooney in tomorrow's papers.

He should have substituted him at half time.

Something obviously upset the England players from the start (maybe it was the racist chants) as that was one of the worst, and dirtiest, England performances I have ever seen.

Sorry for putting a similar thread elsewhere!

The guy is disgusting and a real disgrace to the game for throwing his armband down. That and the sun story. I really hate the man and so should every LFC fan even when he is in an England shirt.

The whole "he is just a kid" ******, dosen't wash with me. What he did to Casillas was dangerous and throwing the armband away was disgraceful.

He should appolgise and then he can move on.
