...and now Capello is blaming the 'Liverpool situation' for Barry's poor performance midweek.

get to fk Capello. we should pull all Liverpool players from the England team and tell him to sod off. Time he was sacked anyway.

maybe its time to realise that the english players in question aren't really all that good? its an overlaboured point but maybe the number of foreigners really is diluting the english talent and allows the english players to appear better than they actually are. maybe its true that english players aren't actually the most intelligent. they can run around a lot and try over ambitious passes but when it actually comes to controlling a football game they haven't got a clue what to do. someone needs to come in who has the bo'llocks to radically overhaul the whole set up and plan for the future and capello is definitely not that person.

:bump

Hopefully all of our lads come back unscathed from the action tonight...particularly Torres!

I've just seen that Walcott will be out for 3 months now after injuring himself in the build-up to the friendly in Berlin.  Wenger will be fuming and Arsenal in deeper in the muck as a result.

That's my one and only concern regarding these friendly fixtures aswell. We really don't need another unnecessary injury to Torres or anyone else for that matter. Basically I just want these games over and done with, so we can get back to concentrating on the league.

On Walcott: bad luck for Arsenal and the lad himself, but at least that means he won't be able to speed past our entire team (like in the CL last season) come December 21.

Let's hope the In-ger-land fans riot in Berlin and get the team banned from playing all matches for 5 years.

Only joking.

Make it 10.

Good news, Torres on the bench initially.

Alonso in the starting eleven, though.

Alonso - Senna ona double holding mid, Xavi on front of them, Riera on the left, Villa upfront, playing well.
