So Evra changed his story as well? Wasn't this the key point why Suarez was found guilty, because he changed his story a few times and Evra didn't?

Whilst I don't necessarily agree with the way LFC have handled the Suarez matter I can certainly understand their frustrations and the reasons why they made such a forceful verbal and demonstrative statement. Evra and the FA have successfully contributed in making a veritable mountain out of a minuscule molehill.This was a pathetic argument on a football pitch that Evra,the FA and possibly Manchester United and Alex Ferguson have blown out of all proportion.The case with no evidence has done nothing to further eradicate racism in sport. Just wait to see the treatment Suarez and Evra get next time LFC and Manchester United meet if you need confirmation.

Spot on really.  The club kinda had to act in the way we did due to the media and general publics failure to acknowledge that no relevant evidence was provided.

Very easy for people to criticise the club for it's actions but it was simply a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't.If Kenny and the club had said nothing we would have all been very annoyed because the assumption would have been that Luis was guilty of racism.

It's certainly an interesting piece and highlights many of the inconsistencies. It makes the case look dubious but we can't help how the papers are going to make it out, its the simpletons who's lapped it all up that's the problem

Agree. Thanks both. It was an excellent read simply because it points out how the FA came to the decision they did because Suarez, having to go from memory, had an inconsistency. However, Evra, who didnt have to go from memory, and had video evidence and everything, was allowed to change his story several times but was still considered more credible.

I said this right at the beginning, whatever happened Suarez was going to be found guilty. Its Suarez, the foreigner, or the english captain. Its a no brainer for the FA.

If i was accused of something and was innocent, i would never ever ever accept punishment. Even more so if i was a public figure and my character was damaged. I would see it as defamation of character and fight this one all the way. Now, since none of this happened, to my mind anyway, hes accepted guilt that he used racist language. I wouldnt be sitting in the stands smiling. The FA and British media are disgraceful organisations so the club shouldnt have made any statements and let Luis make his own.. we dont know his motives.. we cant speak for him. We have taken the hit for him, Kenny is loyal to a fault, and the only way he can repay that is by winning some major silverware for us. However i can see him leaving much sooner as he will get dogs abuse wherever he goes. In Spain he wouldnt get any.

We haven't. Look a Kenny's recent comments about telling the truth. The fact is, if we appeal, we as fans know, as well as the club knows, we are fighting a losing battle.

We all know the FA are wrong, we all know the FA are corrupt, but how can we prove it?

How can we, as fans, portray our grief at judgement against Suarez? we cant. And the club knows this also.

Its a corrupt world we live in, and there is nothing we can do about it.

How can Evra be allowed to escape censure when he made a deliberate attampt to fashion a comment either about Suarez's sister's genitalia, or more probable trying to say 'Go F your sister' which is HIGHLY derogatory and would be purely aimed to wind the guy up (remember Zidane in the world cup final?) yet the FA focus on the RESPONSE by Suarez to such an insult which Evra then admitted he'd misunderstood being called nigger when Suarez in fact called him negro which they established wasn't racist? Evra admitted to the spanish language insult yet no action was taken.

The FA scores more own goals than Carra.

Reg - i think I read somewhere that by the time Evra actually admitted what he said the time limit to bring a case against him had expired. Sounds ridiculous to me. Maybe somebody with a greater knowledge of the legal situation could clarify.
