Home Internationals this summer then.  The FA need to recoup some money.  Lets have a scots invasion at wembley again.

I am so happy.  On Monday I got so much stick at work cos scotland lost but I said to people croatia are a v good side and can beat england and they have done.

Somehow I think Arsene Wenger will get the blame for this again as no matter what the problem is in this country foriegners get the blame.

He would have had owen if he didnt play him in a pointless friendly. There are a lot of technically brilliant players in the squad, mclaren hasnt a clue how to use them !

Yeah and under sven the same problems were there.  Whenever England play a side who are techniclly v good they stuggle.  They cant keep the ball.

Completely different styles of players, and different systems.

In an effective system, with the right attitude, training etc. those group of players should be able to perform to a much higher level. A level that more than matches Croatia. There wasn't a deficit in technical ability on England's part sufficient enough to classify it as the main reason for performances of such a poor level. (IMHO)

I'd place a poor attitude and system well above a lack of technical ability.

Agree. Steve Mclaren being one of those problems !

Now Manhattan can enjoy Euro 2008.

Without armchair pundits hyping up England.

bloody gutted but well done to croatia your boys done well, i knew once we sat back at 2.2 that we would lose that game, fooking garbage and mcclaren is a clown, atleast next summer we can sit back and enjoy some descent footy without all the England hype in the press and on the TV.

i hope SG improves before newcastle

yes u are right its not just about the better technique of the croatian players.  I'm just trying to make the point that it doesnt matter who the manager is as the side is not good enough to beat the top nations on a consistent basis or win a major tournament.

Also the squad isnt that strong in depth.  Crouch, Defoe, Bent finished the game.  None of them play on a regular basis.  Lescott should be nowhere near an international side and David James should of been in goal.

We may well see the best of Gerrard up until the end of the season knowing that there are no future england matches of importance so his focus can solely be on Liverpool.

I thought Modric looked Rosicky-esque.

They mentioned him before the kick off, chelsea are supposed to be interested. Be a good little signing for Liverpool in January.

Crouch did the best he could. He scored a goal for the fans who booed him in the past and called him a freak.

I love this result. It's payback for the treatment McClaren gave to Carragher.

Like Alan Shearer said, he will be asked to leave.

I was hired by a wally at Soho Square.
I knew that the team was going nowhere.
A few months later I was losing my hair.
Reached the UEFA Cup final.
Lost 4-0 to Sevilla...and my hands were bare.

Chavs and wags and Steve
We'd hear it from the thugs in the stands.
They'd call us chavs and wags and Steve
But every match all the fans would come around

And lay their season tickets down.
