The only thing sweeter would have seen Ronaldo sent off for diving (but of course that would have required the Mancs to mount an attack ) or Scholes sent off for a second horror tackle. Feck me, he's diabolical when putting in a challenge.

Anyways back to the game, Barca from after they scored where a class above.
Iniesta the best player on the pitch by a mile.
Think united didnt even look in it after they conceded.
I genuinely think that fergie got it completely wrong, i expected united to play like they did against Barca last season and like Chelsea did this season.
Work hard without the ball and stop the opposition from playing. That did not happen.
They were over confident and tried to play Barcelona at there game, who can do that ?
Nobody. Great players on the ball they have.
Anyway lets see if the press pick up on Fergies tactical gaffe (believing his side could play an expanded game and come out on top against better footballers)
Also Rooney out of position all season....imagine the knives being sharpened if Rafa had done that with Stevie.
A strange anti climax greeted me and me mates at the final whistle as it wasnt a surprise when united meekly surrendered.
Congrats Barca, and with a massive cheshire cat style smile from my grid, commiserations to the best squad EVER ASSEMBLED in world football
In the wise words of Johnny no5 from short circuit, disassemble fergie
i wonder if Xavi or Iniesta could be in the running for player of the year? European and CL winners? Messi will probably win it but the whole squad was great.
Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson: "We started brightly and got a bit nervous after that. We had time to recover from the goal. We had some half-chances... but in fairness we were beaten by a better team. We weren't at our best after the first goal."
