Champions league 2008/2009

International Football/Football World Wide - General Discussion

Just heard that Porto have been thrown out of next seasons Champions League by the governing body.  I think it's something to do with bribing referees.

They will appeal, but I doubt that will work. Not over something like this.

It seemed to work for AC Milan
Convicted of match fixing by their own FA and excluded from the champions league only to be allowed back in and they go a win it!

So it looks like we'll be playing Porto in the UEFA CHUMpions League at the  Stadio Olimpico(sp?), Rome next may!!   :p

It looks good.

The stands are close to the pitch.

Nothing kills an atmosphere worse than a frickin running track around a football pitch.

Barca won't win anything unless they actually have a shot on goal.

Looks a lot like the Emirates.  It will definitely help having the fans close to the pitch like in England.
