I understand just prior to the incident Adebayor had ran the full length of the bus and danced insultingly infront of some gunners.

Just out of curiosity why isn't the ACN held during the summers we have the Euros instead of smack bang in the middle of the season?

All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

I think it is understandable that the Togo team have pulled out of the competition, you cant expect their players to be able to concentrate on football when they have seen their friends getting killed. You can see why the organisers decided the competition should go ahead, as if they cancelled it would open the doors to terrorists seeing they could affect all future tournament with such actions. It is a very precarious position and hopefully the rest of the tournament should go ahead without any more problems.

More to the point why are they every two years, not every four as is the case with the world cup? Any arguments we have the Euros is limp, they are every four years and don't come the same year as a world cup year. Seems no point having african players, often they ain't good enough and those that are play can play THREE international tournaments in four years, and miss a January+ every two years for ACN. Of course they don't stay in the world cup too long, then again England only last a round or two more..........................

I hear the police have found a suspect for the Togo bus shootings. With 300 shots fired and only 3 on target, the police are keen to talk to Emile Heskey
