Rafa should send scouts to Egypt as there will be plenty of talent on display and who knows we might get a right winger with the skills of okocha and trickery diouf and the power of drogba all combined in one.

What do you think?

Big feature in this months FourFourTwo about this tournament if anyone is interested.  Been reading up a bit on it.  Probably give it a watch.  It's on British Eurosport.

Who do you think will win the African cup of nations?
I reckon Egypt because they have got some quality players, and it's home soil.

Their will be alot of good players on display
But before we think of signing any
Just look around at the moaning premiership managers who have african players.
Its like they never expected them to play for their country in this tournament.

Just a thought

I believe Rafa will have a few scouts at the tournament every major club will, the team to look for will be Ghana. All powerful, fast and difficult to beat.

From  ascouting point of view I'd avoid it like the plague. You're in a no-win situation. If the player does well his price goes up and as everybody's had a good look at him theres competition to sign him. If he doesn't do well then do you want him anyway. African players, unless proven in a European league of some importance, are a massive gamble and I'd only take a chance on one who is cheap, young and hungry. For every one that comes off ten don't and the Senegal experience will live with the club for a long time. Avoid.

Luckily we don't have to send anyone there. What a bugger of mistimed competition. Bar$a will lose Etoo' and they are lucky, because waker teams like Espanyol or Osasuna were forced to lend their players Kameni the keeper (excellent keeper) and Webo from Osasuna. That's unfair.

Fortunately we don't have that situation in LFC

to be fair mick, most african players come cheap, young and hungry, and most ply their trade in Europe, look at arsenals squad for christs sake, they must have around 10 players of arican origin who are under 22.

We were ripped off good and proper with diao and diouff, but it would be silly to dismiss a whole continent full of players coz of those two clowns.
