If you had to choose between the 2, would you prefer  Morientes or Anelka joins us in January?

Morientes all the way, although i have no probs with seeing both of them in Red in the new year.
As always I am focused on supporting the Cloob and the Manager

very tough decision. Morientes probaly has a better all round game in terms of having good finsihing skill, aerial ability, able to hold the ball up well amongst other things.

Anelka's strengths are his raw pace and good finishing.

One advantage anelak has is that he has played in England for a number of years, even played for LFC already, and would pretty much fit in straight away - whereas Morientes may take time to grasp English football.

One other factor to consider, price - anelka would be cheaper.

Both very good players, ideally for the long term I think morientes may turn out to be the slightly better buy but anelka is class make no mistake and either of them would be a good acquisition.

and dont forget Morientes is CL cup-tied

Personally i think Anelka is better option, cheaper , younger and EPL proven with no real settling in period

Though i wouldnt mind seeing both in red shirts

yeah..me think anelka is a more valuable prospect. He is still only 25. If he has a great year with us, we can prob sell him for 20 million  :D .

On the other hand morientas is a more complete striker. But he hasn't played in this league yet. So it might be a gamble.

Agreed there Lyndz, at the end of the day the league is the priority, if we do well in the CL then it's a bonus as far as I'm concerned.

Fair Analysis, I think we will have both. Roll on January, they best buy some new nets for Anfield !!

Both of them are fantastic players, I would have both of them to sign for Liverpool in 2 weeks.

Think you have to go for Anelka as he can play in league and CL.
Both would be nice.
