I think if I was at the top I'd be trying to sort the manager position out ASAP because until we do there's no point in letting players leave or even buying players

I know he's injury prone and getting older but he's still among the best in the world, Mamardashvili is no where near him. Who is even in charge of this sort of decision making? Aren't Hughes and Edwards also about to leave?

I've been reading various bits all season regarding Ali. Technically he is out of contract in June but we have the option of extending it for another year. I haven't read anything suggesting we exercised it. He can play for another 5 years at this level easy.
I think we signed Mama with the intention of not taking up that extra year option on Ali.

I can see a similar situation to Rodgers happening. They back him to the hilt only to have no option but to pull the plug in October.

To be fair that backing to the hilt got us some good players and then Klopp turned them into one of the best teams we ever had.

Was watching Bournemouth vs. Leeds last night for some reason, and that Senesi is some player. He's an average defender even though he's a CB but his passing range and vision is amazing and definitely something we could use. He'll be a free agent in the summer, he's definitely worth considering.

Wouldn't mind bringing back Harry Wilson either, he'll also be free in the summer. His output has been decent in recent years. Maybe not good enough to start week in week out for us but would be good for rotation.

We are going to need a top five in the world level forward to replace Salah, those are not easy to find. It’ll  be like finding a needle in a haystack, again.

Liverpool are reportedly weighing up a summer swoop for Bradley Barcola and could possess a considerable advantage in the pursuit, despite suggestions that Paris Saint-Germain may initiate contract discussions imminently - Daily Express

Apparently we're looking to buy Kelleher back! You could not make this season up if you were writing a horror film script. Alison is going ; Marmalade has now been deemed “useless” and Woodman is now Number One keeper - according to Internet ITKs

Under no circumstances should Ali leave, he’s still got a good few years left at the highest level.

Agreed Alisson shouldn't leave, he doesn't play all games true but it's not like he's Thiago Alcantara, Ali usually plays at least two thirds of the season and when he does play he's still among the best in the world.

If we MUST sell him, I would love to have Kelleher back though.

Kelleher shouldn't have ever left imo and it would be embarrassing to try and resign him. He'd cost 4 times what we got for him as on a long contract. Awful silly mess of our own making.
Ali will be looking for top wages on his next deal because its probably his last. It will prob cost us north of 300k a week to keep him. He will get that easy if he goes for free.

I think we'll see Wharton and Diomande from Leipzig arrive this summer at the very least.

Ideally I'd like us to sign another wide player alongside Diomande.

Diomande looks electric, I think he'll be more like Mane than Salah. I agree we do need another winger i wouldn't mind that Toure from Hoffenheim think hes valued at around £40m.. or that other Leipzig winger Nusa who also looks very talented.

Then we need at least 2 CDMs who are durable and can run. That 17 year old Colombian kid we've just signed looks like he's going to be a good player.. I would like to see both Camara and Sangare come in from the French league, very similar players, technically good, and good at winning the ball back.

Im not too interested in Wharton, hes another injury prone player we don't need right now. I'd rather Elliott Anderson if we're getting a English player in.

Robbo signing for Spurs (following on from January interest).

LFC will not be triggering Quansah's release clause at £67m to bring him back, but likely to wait until the end of next season and pay £50m.

I just hope we don’t go shopping in the “had a great World Cup” isle, has that ever panned out? I remember Totò Schillaci, the Colombian James, El Hadji Diouf  :glare: Denilson just to name a few. I’d rather we tied things up before the WC or stay disciplined to the plan.
