The Premiership - General Discussion

Not PL, but the CL game tonight at the Emptihad (admittedly 52k attendees from who knows where) was a bit of a belter. Sh1tty throwing away the lead twice, conceding goals again in the last 15 mins, and left hoping they can get a result in Madrid next week. Plus more injuries to contend with.

Let's hope their fluctuating form continues because we face them soon. 2nd leg just before we visit etihad. Tie yet in limbo, which works out better for us.

PSG more or less through, one of the potential sides we could face.

Totally off-topic here vis-a-vis PL results.....but......I noticed the U18s were hammered 5-0 by Blackburn today.
It's really worrying to see the results of the academy teams over the past few months, makes you wonder how many if any will make it to the senior squad

U18s lose again today. 2nd from bottom in the table. W2 D 4 L 10. That's truly shocking, and worse when you see both Manc scum teams at the top.
What's going on with the junior teams??

Youth set up does look shocking, I don't usually keep track but from those stats, terrible. Usually you'll save money when a lad from the academy breaks into the side. Since Trent, our academy ain't produced much. Think only Jones, Bradley. Highly rated lads like Brewster and others just didn't make it. Will see how it goes with Danns and Doak but wouldn't be surprised if they don't crack into our side.

Decline of Mannure is eye candy, enjoyable sight. They all laughed when it took us time to win the league. Let's see how long it takes them.

If Forrest make it to UCL for next season it will be some achievement.

Can't remember a season where there isn't a relegation battle going on towards last phase. 17th place Wolves are 9 points ahead of Ipswich 18th and Liecester 19th. Teams 16th and above are waay ahead.

5/April

FT: Everton 1-1 Arsenal

No.20 is getting closer now...statistically we now need 3 more wins and 2 draws in our rtemaining 8 games to clinch the title...even if Arsenal were to win ALL their remaining 7 games, and one of them must be against us

Arsenal with a comfortable advantage 3-0 Vs Real.

Man I'm missing UCL, I think PSG wil be tougher task for them if they both get to semis.

Arsenal getting over emotional as usual, talking up their chances now they won a match. Arteta talking about destiny etc  :glare: It actually could have gone either way and Real are not very good. I think Arsenal will sneak through but I can’t see them beating PSG, if the same PSG that played us shows up. In any case hopefully they will get distracted and drop points in the league to give us more room to play relaxed.

Yup Real are kind of flustering in their La Liga title race also. Imagine the scenes if Arsenal go all the way, I can't see it but you never no.  Hope they get knockout out, their fan base will be unbearable if they were to win it.

Villa vs PSG will be a good one tonight.

Barca more less through and PSG with a 3-1 vs Villa.

Looks like it'll be Arsenal vs PSG in semi.
