I'm not sure I fancy our chances tomorrow if we are without both Lallana and Coutinho. Southampton is a tough place to go at the best of times but without of 2 of our most influential players it's going to be even tougher.
Our strength all season has been the interplay between that front 4 of Coutinho, Firmino, Mane and Lallana, I'm not sure you can lose 2 of them and expect the magic to still be there. Don't get me wrong whoever comes in will undoubtably do a good job but will we still have the same fluidity and creativity?

Agreed Yakka, I'm not totally confident but on the upside in the last hand full of games played against them all their goals, with just a single exception were scored by Mane  :D   :buttrock

We've been swiping their best players for years mate but they always seem to manage to give us a tough game  :D

Yeah a long term injury to Phil is the last thing we need when we are in the running for the title.

Will undergo ligament scan. Im hoping its just a sprain. IF ligament damage then he will be off for a while. Atm looks likely to miss all of December fixture.

Initial rumours of 6 weeks which during international break or cup fxtures doesnt feel so bad, but Christmas and New Year feels longer.

Looked like he had broken it so I guess we look at the bright side its not all season.

If we can get him back for those big games in the new year it won't be too bad.

I'm not sure how any of you can be "upbeat" about this news.

He will potentially miss 7-8 league games which 2 are key to our title challenge against the bitters and Arab oil consortium.

This has only the makings of crippling our season.

The period he is out the lads must up a notch. Lallana will be back soon which is a positive. Origi looks most likely to take Couts spot in the team.
It is a massive blow losing your best player. I remember when City lost KDB last season they struggled but still coped well because of a good squad.

Yep, that's great news. If he can make it back for the City game that would give everyone a much needed lift.
