Doesn't look like a natural goalscorer though I have to admit that.

I'm not convinced he'll make a decent anything.

I know he's young, but he can't even get the basics right and that's shocking for a player who's 20 years old.

Ship him out on loan in January and hope someone will take him off our hands. He's *****.

I hope Klopp has a magic wand that he can shove up this boys ***** to make him focus on the basics because for the next few months he will be it!

Like it or not, we have to lump it as he'll probably start the next 2 matches again with Benteke out again :(

Unless Firmino is fully fit now... which is probably a better option even though Firmino is not a proper centre forward

Worth noting out of the line up today, Origi is 7 months older than Brannaghan, 5 months older than Randall and 2.5 years younger than Texeira.

There is a player in there, just needs unlocking.

I'd let any championship team unlock it then - shift him on.

And he is about the same age as:

Hector Bellerin
Anthony Martial
John Stones
Aleksandar Mitrovic
Aymeric Laporte
Mateo Kovacic
Hakan Calhanoglu
Jose Gimenez
Domenico Berard
Memphis Depay
Marquinhos

So, what's your point?!?

ALL these players are LIGHT years ahead of Origi. Right now he is s**t and shouldn't be anywhere near our club, let alone find himself in the position of carrying our front line.

A "parting" catastrophe by the snake oil merchant and the pseudo scientist mumbo jumbo moneyball moonshine rubbish that Klopp needs to clean up.  :no

Imo he would make a very good wide player, a few people seem to have missed the fact that our goal on Wednesday originated from a great piece of play down the right by Origi. He's got great acceleration for a big lad and he is more skillful than people are giving him credit for as well.

I agree. I’m not convinced he’s best suited to being a striker but playing wide right driving towards goal on his stronger left foot he could be very good indeed. Might be an option if we switch to a genuine 4-2-3-1.

Lets nip this in the bud ,young Divock Is a player Klopp wanted at Dortmund ,and I think people are writing him off way to prematurely.

Klopp flexing his muscles now and clearly not keen on what hes seen from Origi.

Left out in isolation today.

He clarified on this that there was no issues... The players know that he will make these kind of decisions.

Him getting in extra training is a very good decision.

There would have been no point taking him to London, keep him behind as he is most likely to feature in Europa and the cup games. Smart decision.

You can also find plenty of examples of "late bloomers" that were not that great at the age of 20.

He is a 4th choice striker so no need to be a complete drama queen. The only catastrophe here is that our 1st-3rd choice strikers are injured all the time.

He’s got 16 caps for the number one ranked international team in the world at the age of 20 for a reason. An international team that has two 30m strikers who score at a ratio of a goal every two games in the premier league.

Not saying he is a world beater but there is much more to him than what we have seen so far.
