Bologna are to reignite their interest in Liverpool attacker Fabio Borini after a deal collapsed in January.

The Italian was linked with a return home after turning down a permanent deal with previous loan club Sunderland.

And the 23-year-old is yet to hold down a permanent role at Liverpool, making just 23 league appearances since 2012.

But Bologna may be the club to revive Borini's career, after technical director Pantaleo Corvino confirmed their interest.

He said: "Borini was the first player I called, but we decided to talk about it again in the future."

Finally, Rafa Páez, 20, secured a loan move from Liverpool to Eibar at the end of the January transfer window, which has subsequently been denied by FIFA due to what they claim was an administrative error, during the processing of paperwork.

Liverpool have been told they will have to pay a whopping £37m to land Roma star Miralem Pjanic, according to reports.

Brendan Rodgers fuelled talk of a move for Pjanic after flying out to Rome last week to lay the groundwork for a £25m deal.

The Reds boss was thought to have held talks with Roma director of football Walter Sabatini on his visit to the Italian capital.

Liverpool have been quoted £37m for Pjanic, who is viewed as a long-term replacement for the departing Steven Gerrard.

The report also claims Liverpool will have to offer Pjanic a wage packet of £160,000-a-week in order to stand a chance of luring him to Anfield.

Rodgers is also thought to be interested in Pjanic's team-mates - Radja Nainggolan and Adem Ljajic.

Micah Richards will seek a return to England in the summer in an attempt to get his career back on track as clubs line up to sign the defender.

West Ham, Everton, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan are all showing an interest in the defender ahead of a summer move.

However, the versatile defender's preference is to return to the Premier League ahead of next season, which could end Roberto Mancini's hopes of a reunion with Richards or a switch to Germany.

The right-back, currently on loan at Fiorentina, turned down a new five-year contract at Manchester City and will leave the club on a free transfer this summer as he seeks regular first-team football.

And plans are being made for the 26-year-old to return to these shores.Richards feels he is completely over the injury concerns that dogged the latter part of his career at City.

Nevertheless, the England defender has found first team chances hard to come by in Florence, due in part to a change in formation from manager Vincenzo Montella, though he impressed in the side's 3-1 win over Sassuolo at the weekend.

His time spent on the bench has been the source of frustration for Richards, but the fact he is finally over his injury problems is reason for huge optimism for the defender as he looks to kick-start his career next season.

Richards saw a move to Inter break down on transfer deadline day after Montella pulled the plug on the deal after deciding he wanted to keep the full-back as part of his squad.

And Richards remains open to moving to the San Siro - but a return to England is his priority.

Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic is waiting until the end of the season before deciding on a move to Liverpool.

The Reds are looking to fill the void that Steven Gerrard will leave when he departs for LA Galaxy at the end of the season, and manager Brendan Rodgers has been linked with a swoop for Pjanic of late.

A recent report claimed that the five-time European Cup winners were lining up a £25m move for the Bosnian international, although it is believed that the Serie A side are holding out for closer to £37m.

However, the Express have reported that Pjanic is unsure about a transfer to Anfield, due to the uncertainty about the Reds' Champions League status for next season.

Pjanic has reportedly been offered a deal in the region of £160,000 a week by Liverpool, but the 24-year-old former Lyon midfielder could reject a move unless the Reds finish inside the top four.

Rodgers's side have seen an upturn in results since Christmas, but last season's runners-up are currently four points behind Southampton who hold the final spot in fourth.

Marseille have lined up Fernando Llorente to replace Andre-Pierre Gignac who is wanted by Arsenal and Liverpool and, according to reports in France, Marseille are planning for his departure.

The 29-year-old has 14 goals in Ligue 1, only behind Alexandre Lacazette in the scoring charts.

And Arsene Wenger and Brendan Rodgers are monitoring his situation.

Llorente, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham, is struggling to make an impact at Juevntus having only scored four goals in Serie A this season.

Liverpool target Alexandre Lacazette can develop into a 'world-class' striker according to ex-Reds boss Gerard Houllier.

Brendan Rodgers is reportedly keen on the Lyon hitman after watching him soar to the top of the Ligue 1 scoring charts this term with 21 goals.

Houllier, who managed the Reds from 1998-2004, thinks that his former club are doing the right thing by chasing the highly-rated France international.

He told Ligue1's official website: "He's top of the Premier League in France, I mean Ligue 1, but he's not international [class] yet and he knows that.

"But he can be world class if he keeps progressing and working on his talent. I was told he's a very dedicated professional. So if he looks after himself and if he does the right thing, he can become really top notch really.

"He can become very good. At the moment he's flirting with the international level, but he's not a top international yet."

Lacazette is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, but his goals have helped fire OL to the top of Ligue 1 this term, and a bid from Anfield could be forthcoming this summer.

Liverpool and Arsenal could be rushed into bidding for Shakhtar striker Luiz Adriano next summer as Juventus consider offering the Brazilian a contract.

Adriano's current deal in Ukraine expires in January 2016, meaning he could agree a free transfer to a European club by this June at the earliest.

And according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Juve are scouring Europe for free transfers to bolster their squad in 2016.

The Turin club are already considering moves for Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto and Milan's Nigel de Jong, with Adriano also on their radar.

Shakhtar know their in-demand striker will likely be gone by this time next year and want to profit on a man signed for just £2million in 2007.

They succeeded in keeping hold of their frontman last month as Arsenal and Liverpool vied with Roma for his services but a £7.5m deal never materialised.

Liverpool are back on alert for Ezequiel Lavezzi after his agent said a deal with Napoli is not a foregone conclusion.

The Argentinian's agent, Alejandro Mazzoni, has claimed that although Napoli has been discussed, it is by no means a done deal.

Earlier this week Lavezzi is said to have expressed interest in teaming up with fellow Argentine Gonzalo Higuain in Naples.

But Mazzoni has poured cold water on the rumours, saying, "Lavezzi has said nothing new," and the decision is not in his hands.

Miralem Pjanic insists he has not had contact with Liverpool over a £37m move to the Premier League.

Brendan Rodgers flew out to Rome last week, sparking speculation that he had gone to lay the groundwork for a move.

It has been suggested that Rodgers sees Pjanic as the man he wants to replace Steven Gerrard in the Reds midfield.

Reports have suggested that the Anfield outfit were ready to pay Pjanic £160,000-a-week to swap Italy for England.

But the Bosnian international is thought to have doubts about making the move unless Liverpool can guarantee regular Champions League football.

He said: "It's not time to talk about a transfer, but there has been no contact [with Liverpool].

"I am only focused on Roma."

It now remains to be seen whether Liverpool step up their interest in Pjanic over the summer, or whether Rodgers was in Rome looking at other targets last week.

Liverpool are ready to hurry through the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk star Luis Adriano with other clubs sniffing around.

The Reds have been scouting Brazilian hitman Adriano for months and had been planning to sign him on a free transfer next January, when his deal with Shakhtar runs out.

But reports say Arsenal and Juventus are sniffing around him, and Liverpool are now ready to make an offer and try to hurry through the transfer.

A fast, powerful and free-scoring striker, Adriano is rated at £7.5million and could be a superb addition.

Yeah like the Vatican, Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain  :nod
In all honesty I'd say it was nothing more than a midweek break with his bird.

Liverpool are lining up a summer move for Barcelona full-back Adriano.

The Sunday People are reporting that Brendan Rodgers is tracking the player, who is reportedly set to leave the Nou Camp at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old, who can operate at right or left-back is struggling under Luis Enrique and would relish a move to the Premier League.

He has admitted he will study offers from other clubs, with the Reds keeping tabs on developments.

Adriano's contract, which runs until 2017, contains a release clause of around £15million but the People claim a £7m offer is likely to be enough to trigger his release.
