Fine by me. Actually getting anything for him is shocking. I still cringe every time he has the ball in the back.

Reus is destined to leave Dortmund in the near future after turning down the offer of a new contract with the Bundesliga giants - and refusing to change his mind.

The Reds have been strongly linked with a move for him and now the Daily Express says Brendan Rodgers is hopeful of signing Reus after a move to Bayern was ruled out.

Dirk Hebel, Reus' agent, told Bild that 'there have been no talks with Bayern' and denied that a switch was in the pipeline.

Liverpool believe they can get the player by meeting his release clause which comes into play next summer, and is set at a bargain price of £19.8million.

We should be going all out in getting Reus, quality player and for 20m is an absoulate f**king bargain.

Also glad to "supposedly" hear that Bayern aren't going to sign him, because that's most likely where he was headed.

Would be an amazing coup if we signed this kid and Moreno before August as we would have actually signed some quality players.

Reus will not happen!

His release clause only comes in NEXT YEAR!  His value now is not £20m.

Press finding stories,  agents negotiating for new contracts etc.  Either way it's not happening

Seriously, I don't get why people keep saying his release clause is closer to 20, so that's what we can sign him for. With it not being active until next year, he'd still go for over 30, easy if he were purchased this summer. Dortmund were willing to hold onto Lewondowski for an extra year and lose, what, £25-30 million that they could have sold him for the previous summer?

They've shown they'll take the hit to keep their players a bit longer, so I'm not even considering getting my hopes up.

The Only way we are actually going to get Reus is if we offer something in the region of 40-50 million. If we buy Moreno will we have that kind of money still to spend? I doubt it personally. I think Rodgers held off the Moreno deal incase he could pull off a Reus/Falcao kind of signing, knew that was not going to surface, then went back in for Moreno knowing he had money left over for a cheaper alternative like Bony or Lavezzi.

I still think we struggle to get the world class players to Anfield and it's quite frustrating.. especially for Rodgers who I feel tried his best to bring in a superstar this summer.

I think Sanchez turning us down put the club on the back foot tbh, I think we were convinced that a deal could have been done especially as both clubs had a player the other wanted and Barcelona were keen on a part-ex to keep the price down.
What we couldn't have known or factored in at the time was Sanchez's wish to move to London.
Since that deal fell through we have been stumbling around in the dark somewhat trying to bring in another striker. We were linked with the likes of Lukaku and Eto'o, then heavily linked with Bony, nearly signed Remy, inquired about Falcao and now depending on what paper you read we are on the verge of signing everyone from Reuss to Kalou.

didnt think we did a hell of a lot to get sanchez yakka.
barca tapped up suarez before the w.c and wenger met with sanchez's agent in brazil while we where dogging southampton for lallana. if we were indeed serious about sanchez we would have made a move earlier. when barca did start dealings over suarez they came clean and said sanchez would not be a part of it.
we never had a chance at that stage  :no

I can't see a guy with YNWA tattooed on his knuckles playing for the mancs. I think he'd chop that hand off before he'd play for them.

Assuming we get Moreno the only position i guess that still needs to be settled is the striker. Can't go to battle with One Starter and One Sub.
BTW a potentially remaining weak link in our lineup that i don't see BR trying to strengthen is the DM position ,Aging Gerrard and Can don't look as the exact solution....
