id sooner we got someone who can release coutinho back to the middle.
can sigurdson play DM ? a bit of competition for lucas would be welcome, it would certainly make us stronger in the latter stages of a game.  :nod

I think BR isn't a fan of the string destroying DM type player. Sigurdsson defiantly can't play there.

we dodged a bullet when we missed out on dempsey and signurdsson, cant understand why we`d stick our head above the parapet to get hit by that same bullet 12 months later.
signing spurs cast off`s when they`ve upgraded to the likes of ericksen and lamela doesnt make sense to me, then again we know brendan likes to sign players he`s already worked with.

if he comes then it will be at the expense of someone, i certainly would hope its not hendo as he is beginning to step up now.
i never thought BR was the type to park the bus either   but he did, so maybe he might mix it up this year. i thought last season, especially early on we were very predictable so if this approach means points on the board then happy days.

Rodgers thinks he can get value by signing players undervalued by their clubs.

He got it right with coutinho and sturridge, maybe sigurdsson and Moses fit into this category too.

I think he's a good manager and I think he's done ok in the transfer market - Allen and Borini I'm not sure about, but our scouting department seemed a bit amateur when he took over so he went with players he knew last summer. Since then I've been pleased with our dealings.

signurdsson has got `allen and borini` written all over him, not keen on moses either (plays with his head down, has a tendancy to find blind alleys and then run down them) but i`d rather have him than signurdsson.
no wonder luis wants to f##k off when our idea of a big signing is bringing in our competitors cast offs.

Moses can get f**ked, not good enough to play for us and I don't know why we would be interested in him to begin with.

As for signing / loaning in Tottenham's scraps, it just sends out a very, very bad message to the rest of the squad.

Tho I am happy we have at least signed Sakho and Illori. Our CB deficiencies have been sorted out.

I don't think Sigurdsson is a bad deal... he can be a backup for Gerrard, he is creative, technically sound...

Just can't get my head around the fact that we are paying 13 million for a CB who is in his last year in his contract, is 4th choice and couldn't get a game right now
even if his life was dependant on it.
He isn't going to sign a new contract as he hasn't being getting any playing time for a long time and PSG would get £0 next summer.
I am all for buying quality players but getting robbed blind by PSG makes no sense.

I am not foreign to the idea of getting other teams cast offs as they are cheap and coulf blossom in the right enviroment.
Even if some may not think so, Sturridge and Couthino were both cast offs, which is the reason they went so cheap.
Just have to trust the scouts and managers if they can find some good buys.

Moses is strong and quick. Him combining with Sturridge and Suarez, it could actually be quite hard to handle for many clubs. He's good at getting down the line and prefers to cut it, and isn't afraid to make hard runs down the middle either.

To say I'm excited that we've gone from Mkh and Willian to Moses... No. But since we've let Downing go I think Moses is better than nothing. Will he start for us? I think sometimes, and if he surprises a few people than a bit more then we think, but he will play a bit. I've never rated the guy either and have fully question chelsea's decision to buy him, but like I said i think he's better than nothing and could actually work well for us.

Victor Moses and Siggurdson? really? that's the best we can do? absolutely pathetic, people actually believe that getting the rejects from the clubs we are competing with will get us to compete with them? we are truly becoming laughable

Surely if the Siggurdson link is true, we need a better source than twitter?

I can't see it being reported anywhere.
