Willian is a terrific player but he doesn't seem to score much for an attacker which is bit of a worry. For the money being mentioned, I'd be a bit hesitant to be honest

If Spurs manage to bring in Eriksen or Willian and we/Arsenal fail to bring anyone else in before the window closes then I can see them easing into the last top4 position. Willian would be a good signing for us, great signing if the rumors linking him to City ans Spurs are true. He isnt a natural winger but he'd be much more suited to the role than likes of Aspas and Borini (his lack of defensive awareness -much as is the case with the 2 mentioned forwards- remains a concern).

I think Willian is way overrated.

Eriksen is a player I really want though. But it appears we were never after him. It was also mentioned that Coutinho will probably play as a number 10, so we can forget about Eriksen I guess.

Liverpool are interested in Willian (who is keen to move to the Prem League). Whether they get him is another matter but they do want him.

The recent sale and disposal of high earners may be in an effort to justify paying more to new recruits. Willian is rumoured to be on £150K a week.

vaguely remember him, he was quite good i seem to remember.

He wasnt at Anzhi when we played them. He was still at Shakter then helping them knock out Chelsea. He is certainly more creative than players like Eriksen and Mhyktraian but doesn't score as many goals.

Would be a quality sighing - expensive but quality.

Would take back a lot of my words if we signed him - would show the intent and ambition we need to get into CL.

Willian was overhyped because of his performance in the Champions League when he played for Shakhtar. He's not worth the money IMO.

On the other hand, there are not many other realistic targets for us who have a bit of skill in them. If we can lower his price and his ridiculous wages then we can get him.

Witzel is a pretty damn good player as well. Better suited for us

I've never seen this guy play, so can't judge, but from what I saw in youtube videos of him - I just could not see how this player could be worth 30m.

He looked a bit clueless with the ball, usually passing it backwards or coming to a standstill, at which point he would try to dribble past a player, but fail quite miserably. If we really rate this guy at 30m, heck, he didn't even look better than downing to me in those youtube videos, so I hope I'm just spouting complete rubbish.

Can't say I can justify us buying Willian. I'd be happy as I think he's quality, but his best position is not one we need to improve on.

Read this about him though:
