Wow that's dedication to the core to score points - going back over two years to pick up posts - and to ensure maximum effect you post it on two different threads.

You name me one person whose opinion stays consistent regardless of the manager ? People have had different opinions when it was Rafa or Woy or Kenny or BR - most people understand that , only the sad few going scrambling and searching through the archives to bring up posts from the past. Quite sad and pathetic really and just shows the nature of some people.

As for the posts - yes I thought we would do well with Kennys signings - I thought he was going about it the right way - it didnt work - it's not the first time someone's opinion is wrong ( something you must be fully aware of Bam ) . Yes I didn't expect players like Mata to fit in as nicely as they did - again no one is ever right about every player.

One player does stick out though - Adam - lots of similarities to Aspas - lower level football for a number of years - one season in the top flight and does well in a struggling team then gets bought for a decent amount of money.

And a final point - hindsight is great , we all wish we could go back and change our opinions or revisit them , I'm pretty sure anyone could search through the forum at some of your old posts ( guess would have to decide which incarnation of you ) and find a differing opinion on each manager we have had - but no one is that pathetic and desperate to score a point - will leave that all up to you.

Happy searching Bam.

No speak of a DM which imo is a little worrying. I bet he thinks Allen will be one of 3 to play that role.

How about Masher back ? Seems he could be surplus at Barca and is being linked with Napoli.
Bit of experience and bite back in the side ?

Can you see us attracting Masher back ? He left because we werent in the CL.

Wanyama is definitely a player we could purchase

But I can't see BR getting a big physical player for the middle - it's not his style - yet it's one of our big problems

We have enough "bite" in the side with Suarez :)

Based on today's news Mascherano is more of a "kicker"

How good would that be!

I didn't realise he was surplus to requirements at barca.  ???

Not really Bam - but you scored a point - it must feel worthwhile doing the searching to claim a point on a forum.

But im pretty sure you only posted it to prove a point and gain a reaction ( isnt that what a troll does  ?)

I just read back through the first five pages of the Downing thread to see whether I posted in there and I came across your pearler   and had to share it because of the censure you often aim at Rodgers. I thought it pertinent to remind you of the double standards you project. I thought I'd highlight the fact that you only question the signings of Rodgers with disapproval because you don't actually rate him as a manager - nothing to do with the players themselves per sa.

And Benny, had you not littered your reply with innuendo's about me, we could have debated your contradictory opinions in a civilised way but you had to make it personal.

Yes I'm sure you did Bam.

Ill judge each signing as I see fit - I was wrong about certain signings and we will see if I'm wrong about Aspas.

I backed Kenny cause I rated him and he has proved himself - BR has proven nothing yet.

I was very positive about Coutinho ( but BR signed him ) and if Pappadoulous and Henrik sign I will be extremely positive about them two - both high quality and shown it at a high level. Aspas looks another Adam - similarities are quite striking.

And as for making it personal  - ill give the first strike to you on that note Bam

Benny, you really do flatter yourself by insinuating I did this to merely score a point.

It wasn't necessarily about being right or wrong on certain signings (I know you like to be right even though you were wrong here  :D ) it was about the blatant double standards you afford certain managers and their players - it's almost fair weather supporting imo.

I attacked the initial post here Benny, not you  :;):  but it did touch a nerve didn't it.

If its about double standards why did i not meet with disapproval the signing of Coutinho ? Also I didn't have any problems with the signing of Allen also, didnt really say much about Assaidi and could understand the signing of Borini ?

Surely if its only because BR is signing the player I would have shown disapproval to all the signings as opposed to just Aspas ? Because that's been my major disapproval Bam - a signing along the lines of Adam.

Apart from the fact  we didn't win a cup last season GYBS, or the fact we finished 7th  and the manager missed out not only on CL but had the hide to say he didn't want to 'really' partake in it through the fair play route, in fact pretty much everything the N.Irishman has said or done since he has been here has seen you censure him at any possible opportunity. Now, it just so happens to be his latest signing, next week it will be something else...

Searching through posts seems to be your forte - oh sorry i forgot you just stumble upon them

I do believe there is a thread about BR elsewhere on the forum if you want to discuss our poor season again

This is about the rumours and gossip and player signings

Aspas and Toure are the two signings so far - both signings that don't fill with much confidence so far.

But people being unhappy about signings isn't a new occurrence regardless of who the manager is.

Quite heavily linked with Napoli mate.
They are in the champions league though and he might fancy working with Rafa again as he played arguably his best football under him.
Agree with Benny that we could do with a physical prescence, however have hardly seen anything of Wanyama to comment on him.
