Have you ever been extremely confident with any of our players when we got them? Just saying...

Thats two players that look ok out of 6 bought so far.

Money can be used as an excuse because we have spent Sh*t loads over the recent seasons - even
BR had a big budget to spend last season - it was just spent poorly overall.

I'm not extremely confident with signings like Toure , Aspas.

I agree Benny!
I can accept the Toure signing but the Aspas signing if completed does not fill me with any joy. A lot of fans are praising his skills but for me I don't think his clips are that impressive. I hope he proves me wrong, I really do!

Plenty players. Not as many in recent years though

it does look like we are trying to compete on the cheap.
the frustrating thing is we arent that far away from being a very good side, if suarez stayed and we pushed the boat out on a couple of high quality up and coming players (papadopolous, muriel - players of that ilk) we`d be right in the mix imo.

true, none of us really know how he will do.
i cant say i`m that optimistic given that he has spent practically his entire career playing in the spanish lower divisions but it`s not beyond the realms of possibility that he turns out to be a good signing.

I know how you feel. Im just hoping that were just getting the squad players for next season before we complete our big signings

if we do bring in any high profile players though mate it will probably be a bit of a double edged sword in the sense that it will more than likely mean suarez has gone. the echo said last week that realistically suarez would have to leave before we started splashing out £20m+ on someone like mkhitaryan. it also said that we were getting cold feet over papadopolous because schalke want something in the region of £17m/£18m for the player.
instead of spending now and building from a position of strength we will be signing players just to replace the ones we will have lost.

BR is back in the office today, I'd expect some movement this week.

I expect along with Toure and Aspas for Luis Alberto and Thiago Ilori to join in the coming weeks. I think when this happens Brendan will now what shape his squad is in to sanction moves out of the club. I.e Carroll Assaidi and Skrtel or Coates. Along with some players going on loan like Robinson and Suso.

If Brendan is back in office this week it might be the time for him to speak to the likes of Pepe and Luis and see what situation they are in whether they are leaving or not.

Only after that has happend can the real rebuilding happen. For example We could go and Sgin Begovic from Stoke and Reina says he wants to stay or the other way around we dont sign a keeper and Reina decides now is the time to leave.

The amount of Rumours going round I expect a busy summer ahead of us. If Luis goes im not too fussed, Yeah they guy is exceptional but You should want to wear the Liverpool Fc shirt not tart yourself round for the likes of Madrid to come calling

I think Rodgers is first looking to secure his youngsters/squad players before the REAL action starts; action that is to be dictated by what happens with Suarez, Carroll + perhaps Reina and Skrtel.

Like others have said with BR back in the office as of today I expect to see some clarity on the above over the coming days.

I hope that the big signings ( quality CB and possibly Henrik ) aren't dictated by players leaving - if we are only going to get those players if players leave then we should stop spending £8mil on a couple of players and put the money towards a quality CB - Pappadoulous etc
