I hope our interest in Muriel isn't just a speculative throw of the dice from the media .

I saw most of the game yesterday and apart from the assist, Aspas looked like an Assaidi mark two. He looked Ok but not worth the risk IMO and I'd rather give a chance to some of our youngsters than waste money on him. Time will tell though, I might be wrong (I hope I am).

Never seen the game yesterday ,but like I said I seen the lad against Real and he was a problem for them all night ,as for the game last night
his goals and assists have been the primary reason Celta are still basking in the affluence of La Liga ,so maybe the lad is due an off day ?   ???

As for your likening him to Assaidi ,the two are simply not comparable by any stretch of the imagination ,Aspas never stops running and has
the tenacity of a South American.

Definitely not an off day, he made a good assists and had a few chances to score himself. But even though he had a good game, I wasn't too impressed with him.

Exactly, same as Assaidi. He runs and runs and then runs some more. I want a goal threat not a sprinter.

Assaidi doesn't run though ,even though I'm pretty sure he could if he wished. Whereas Aspas has single handedly kept a very poor Celta side
afloat this season with his goals and assists, anyway the fans and La Liga said goodbye to him last night so he's bound for pastures new ,it
however remains to be seen whether the reds will enter a bidding war,or are indeed willing to pay the price Celta will now demand for their
star man.

i`m sure the echo said aspas was a done deal.
i hope your right about him RBG i really do, but the realist in me isnt expecting much from a 25 year old who`s played all his career bar 1 season in the spanish lower divisions. it`s a big ask to go from that environment to a club like liverpool (and a league like the prem) and deliver. as i said this thing about him being `hard running` doesnt exactly fill me with confidence either, thats usually a euphemism for having little skill.
but if he is anything like suarez we may have a bargain on our hands.

Aspas isn't just a runner mate, he is for want of a better description a bit of a maverick with the ball at his feet ,Ive watched him a few times and he certainly
has the potential to be a potent little striker for the reds. I just hope he isn't played on the flanks ,because from what I've seen of him its definitely not where he thrives. Aspas is useful in the air and with the ball at his feet he will torment the life out of back lines up and down the country....He also possesses the same arrogance Suarez plays with ,strong rumours Valencia were waiting to see the outcome of yesterdays game to throw in a bid, so I commend Rodgers and the board for acting swiftly.

Rodgers has stated he only wants winners for Liverpool Football Club ,and I believe him.... I think this season he will rectify the mistakes of last and if
anything certainly  wont lack heart .

Potential isn't a word you normally use for 25 year olds ?

How often have you seen him ? Did he stand out and if so how come he has never been mentioned or even picked up by a top team in Spain
