Luis Suarez signs for Barcelona

And on a football pitch it's the most unnatural action

You would be surprised on what you could catch from someone biting you.

But Liverpool fans trying to downplay it is as bad as the act itself

I could only imagine how you would react if one of our players was on the receiving end - it wouldn't be the minor event people are trying to paint it out to be

Sometimes some acts are indefensible despite people's attempts

Unfortunately Suarez has shown us the hypocrisy and spitefulness of our media, the FA and those who do not support LFC
Yes it was shocking (funny though) and could have caused harm. But it didnt. So his violent conduct charge will be for attempting to carry out a violent act.
You can feel the FA's blood pumping and erections rising with the thought of how they can punish him by showing the world how strong a stance they take against this type of behaviour (havent we been here before?) and of course the normal 3 match ban isnt enough. Oh no. How about a 6 month ban? After all he had an 8 match ban for racism, and before that an 8 match ban for biting. Obviously match bans dont work. What they need is a clear and concise message to this foreign tw@t that they will not tolerate anything they dont like, especially if its carried out by someone who ignores them and thinks theyre hypocritical phoney cu'nts. They must make an example of this spanish speaking, ugly, buck toothed little Urugyan who has the audacity to treat them with the contempt they deserve.
Oh Luis, you have give them the ammunition they so wanted in order to destroy you, and in the process fatally wound us.

The headlines are down to Suarez. In football it is the hot news.

He is the one to blame by feeding the media the ammunition to focus on him. He prob doesn't care but its getting to the point where he needs to start caring about it. Maybe that will stop him acting like a ***** on the pitch.

anything that happens in footy these days is hot news because you have 24 hour rolling sports news channels and radio stations that are entirely dedicated to discussing sport all day (and most of the night). everything is hyped to the rafters.
headlines are going to happen wether you want them to or not, if they didnt have suarez`s bite to talk about they`d probably start a discussion about wether brendan rodgers should keep his job or start talking about suarez leaving to go to bayern or something.

So basically they are going to make stuff up and most of us will just ignore them for what they are - made up rubbish to create headlines.

And then Suarez just goes and helps them

when defoe bit mascherano there wasnt all this carry on.
anyway you`d think suarez was the only person connected with the club to do something nuts in our 120 year history.
around the time of the first world war some of our players were involved in a match fixing scandal with united players, we`ve had players kick referee`s up the @rse, we`ve had players break opponents jaws with a punch, we`ve had players end other players career`s with one tackle, we`ve had players spit in a fans face, we`ve had players go to prison, we`ve had fans go to prison, we`ve had players knock opponents clean out whilst fighting on the pitch and as i said in an earlier post 39 innocent people lost their lives because the fans of this club went on a rampage..... but suarez is damaging the reputation of the club?
some people need to get a few LFC history books for christmas.

It's quite amusing how trivial people are trying to make this situation.

It's actually pathetic really. I wonder what Suarez will have to do for people to actually realise how damaging he is being.

Defoe was rightly crucified for it in the press and Defoe also hasn't got previous on the exact same situation

Even an idiot learns after the first mistake - it appears Suarez can't

We all know you dont like him as your previous comment have stated. But to hang him out to dry shows your true colours with regards to support and loyalty
Instead of seeing the bigger picture you prefer to focus on the simplest answer and therefore the simplest solution you can, or are capable of.
You want him gone. We get it

The most disappointing thing for me is that he lost all chances of getting the Premier League golden boot this season and the one who will get it will be Offside van Penalty, who scored a hat-trick today. All goals were scored in a Man U trademark way; from offside.

What I'm reading about his ban is very laughable as well. The normal punishment for his behavior would be a 3 match ban, but since it's Luis Suarez, standard punishment doesn't apply for him, and a three-match ban is "clearly insufficient". Clearly insufficient? Did he bit Ivanovic's hand off or something? He doesn't even have a bite mark on his arm FFS.

Of course, a 3-4 match ban is "sufficient" enough for kicking ball boys.

The bigger picture is the club - not one single player is bigger than the club. That's been evident within our club for decades upon decades.

Bet you didn't mind crucifying Diouf when he acted like a dog on the pitch.

Suarez has been supported through every single mistake he has made ( more than any in our history ) and he keep throwing that support back into the clubs face. He either stops or he gets sold - no more incidents or he should be sold.

Again you miss the point

Suarez will be rightly punished for what he did - it has no connection to anything else that anyone has done.

It's an unnatural act to bite someone and that's why a simple 3 match ban won't be enough. He didnt learn from being banned for 7 games last time did he

you need to get real, no one gives a sh1.te what he`s done, if we put him up for sale half the prem would be after him.
you think man city would refuse to buy him because he bit ivanovic?
it`s a results business and players like luis get results, if our owners got offered another loose cannon who was as good as luis for £10m they`d bite the selling clubs hands off.
half of this mock outrage is from fans of other clubs who are desperate to see us lose our best player, just like we were all made up when we thought cantona would have to leave united when he waded into that fella in the crowd.

So Benny, you're saying that Suarez should have just broken Ivanovic' nose because that's more "natural", thus getting a shorter punishment? Because that's what you get for kicking ball boys in the ribs, headbutting other players etc.; the shortest possible punishment. That's a very laughable statement if you read it out loud.

I'm not saying that what Suarez did isn't disgusting and disgraceful and I agree that he should be punished like everybody else. But that's just my point, he isn't getting punished like everyone else and he's getting more than what should be given to him. All I'm asking is a fair treatment but unfortunately he isn't getting that.
