selling your best players is not how a club progresses :no .

Calm the f*ck down dear. Go paint your nails or something.

The Suarez rumour is nothing more than a rumour, like the Agger one. Of course City are interested, Suarez is world class and is the leagues joint top goalscorer.

Pay no attention to that numpty The Raven, the Torres deal was driven by Torres not Chelsea. Torres was not only unsettled but actively wanted to leave. Low and behold he left. Suarez has been quoted to be very happy at Liverpool, especially after the support he got throughout Negritogate.

maybe you should take that piece of advice scs and stick it with your nail varnish and apparent PMS.
you think i didnt realise it was a rumour ?.
I havent just fallen from the clouds either and know perfectly well what happened with torres.
I do not think he will leave and never said he would but if somehow it does happen then rodgers has lost his credibility and should resign.

Yes im a numpty.

None of our players heads will ever be turned. Nor will our board ever sell a star player no matter what the offer is. This is football if you still think a player loves the club in this day and age then your wrong. Gerrard nearly left, Alonso, Mach, Torres. All world class all gone.

IM not saying he is going im just amused by the amount of people who think he will never leave no matter what happens. If City put a bid in of that much and offer him 200k a week i wouldnt be overly sure he would stay

Dear Luis Suarez,

I would like to offer my sincerest apology to you for my criticism of you since you arrived at Liverpool in January 2011. In fact much of my criticism seems unjustified, though I would like to see you dive and simiulate less.

You are a world class player, a world class person and an absolute assest to this football club - you're a jewel in the rough. You Sir, epitomise this football club more than I could ever hope to do and I am delighted to hear that you will be staying with us.

Please continue to be your excellent self, because you are a world class individual.

God Bless your soul,

Boxscarf.

Sit down and shut-up you silly f**k.

BBC (so it must be right):  Luis Suarez happy to stay at Liverpool for 'many years'

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has said he is very happy at the club and wants to stay at Anfield for many years.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a January move to Manchester City.
But he told Liverpool's website:  "It's about enjoying myself and trying to be here for as many years as I can.

"I'm at a club where I'm very happy, my family is happy, I've got fantastic team-mates and a manager from whom I'm learning so much. I'm at a club where I've always wanted to be."

The Uruguay international signed a new deal at the Anfield club in the summer.
He has been in good form so far this season, scoring 11 goals in 16 appearances and is the joint top scorer in the Premier League with eight goals.

Luis Suarez at Liverpool
•Signed: January 2011 (£22.7m)
•Total appearances: 68
•Total goals: 32
•2012-13 appearances: 16
•2012-13 goals: 11

"As a player, it's vital to have the backing of your manager and so I think that the confidence Brendan [Rodgers] is showing in myself and the team as a whole is very important and it's down to us to repay that trust out there on the pitch," added Suarez.

"The other important thing is that the squad is very united. In spite of not getting the results we would have liked, we have a great spirit of togetherness and let's hope we can continue to pick up points."

Manager Rodgers has said there will be no "bidding war" for the striker who made a £22.7m move from Ajax to Liverpool in January of 2011.

"If we lost Luis then we have no strikers, so I can't afford to lose anyone," he said of a striker who scored 17 goals in 39 appearances in his first full season at the club,

'He is certainly not anyone we want to sell or move. We want to add to the squad."
Suarez's time in England has not been without controversy.

He was found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra, banned for eight games and then widely criticised for his decision to refuse Evra's handshake when the two came face-to-face at Old Trafford.

However, the pair did shake hands when Liverpool played Manchester United for the first time this season at Anfield.

HE'S NOT FOR SALE AT ANY PRICE.

macca and owen worth maybe 50m pounds combined 10 yrs ago left for peanuts.
walcott (soon?), fargragas, flamini, henry, ashely cole and van persie all left gooners for less than their true worth.
are you sure that no players should be sold at any price? not every player is gerrard n carra. if you allow a player's contract to run down to the last 2 yrs, the club will lose a lot of their bargaining power.

suarez is good, currently the best in the team. but at his peak of his game, he is still no yet comparable to fowler's, owen's or torres's. i am not looking to sell him unless for a ridiculously amount of money ie) more than 50m pounds.
and this amount of money can be use to sign 2 or 3 good strikers, to improve on the depth of the teeam.

You're assuming the club already knows who to buy, they're available and what price we'd have to pay.

Last thing we want is to sign him off then find there are no replacements. We wasted all the Torres money doing just this.

Myself and many others claimed he wasnt a natural goalscorer. But those stats speak for themselves

Just looking at how much coverage the Ibrahimavitch goal has had
No doubt it was spectacular, but it was a hit and hope and it came off, he had no right to score from there and thats what makes it special. Whats bothered me is that now there have been comparisons in the media for the best goal ever scored and Bergkamp, Maradonna, Van Basten, Zidane etc have been put in the frame. I know Im biased but the goal Suarez scored against newcastle the other week isnt even mentioned. That was pure skill, or at a push, 95% skill and 5% luck. Yet not a peep from those who have compared goals. Beckhams goal from his own half- Alonso did it, twice! Luis did it against norwich last season. Rooneys overhead kick- Crouch did it, twice!
Liverpools goals musnt be as special then...

Maybe?
If the goal Suarez scored would have been by another player from another club, lets say Rooney for man u or Bale for spurs, would it have made the list of best ever goals?
???

Crouchies wonder goal last season was ten times better for me !! An overhead kick into an open goal was nothing more that an act of luck and a lot of perception. Clever yes brilliant no.
