My suggestions of BR have been made clear in that particular forum. My reference to the right man at the right time was aimed at playing personnel.

Honestly - why should they?
If a person buys a house and becomes the owner - it does not automatically mean that the owner will pay for a new boiler out right. He or she may decide to gain a loan (at the cheapest rate possible) in order to make house improvements. This way their money isn't soaked up with necessities and can be used to E.G. go to the cinema after a great meal for two...
It isn't that difficult to imagine FSG board all prefering to enjoy their money (which has been worked hard for) somewhere on a sunny beach - than pay for a couple of knew football stands in a country that they have little in common with and spend little or no time in - no brainer!!

He/She seems to misunderstand that very rarely are clubs in a position where the owner has bottomless pits of money and will spend without justification.

I'd say we need a striker who knows how to find the back of the net on a regular basis and the younger he is the better as far as I'm concerned. I'm hoping we have unearthed a gem in Samed Yesil who appears to have the magic touch for his national side albeit at youth level.

EXACTLY - At some point in the future ALL football fans will need to realise this key point. Owners deducting revenue from the club to line its own pocket. Manure have to live with it, so again they are ahead of EVERYONE!
It's a fact and ALL football fans need to expect - except - respect this basic business right.

I'm not at all envious of Manchester City.

What I am frustrated with is the chronic lack of investment in playing staff since I have been a Liverpool supporter. We never have the full set of players needed to consistently challenge for anything and when we do, our owners are two profiteering cowboys and things go belly up. We've been promised a new stadium since 2001 and fast forward 11 years later and we're still at the drawing board. It's things like this which annoy me.

We're always planning for the future at this football and when the future finally becomes present, everyone's disappointed and we prolong things again. What also annoys me with this football club is how we never back our manager in the transfer market. Evans, Benitez and Rodgers so far since I've supported the club and that to me is unacceptable, that's what angers me the most, so no it has nothing to do with Man City.

For all the years I have supported LFC i've NEVER known the owners NOT to back its manager - not ONCE!
I suggest that you buy a couple of dvd's perhaps 2005 CL Final as it is current and up to date - take heart from it and live by what you watch. For this game alone is a stand out understanding of what supporting LFC is about in modern times - Also, learn from life long fans from the 60's and 70's who will give you in depth knowledge of the support that LFC is afforded day in, day out.

Times are hard, and times change and change again it will. But our hearts never change!!!!!!!!

Which statements are wrong? We have flushed hundreds of millions down the toilet and our managers haven't always been backed. I have given you four examples of our managers not being backed, would you like to me to make a complete list of all the poor transfers we've made?

Id rather the owners redeveloped the main stand with their cash, and put the rest into the team. 300m +  loans on a new stadium will engulf the club in debt.

- never being back reads differently to - haven't always been backed.
- flushed hundreds of millions down the toilet - many teams have done this - RANGERS & LEEDS are epic examples - do you want this for LFC?
- ALL teams have made poor decisions in the transfer market - this is a part of the game we all love, isn't it?

For all your list of poor transfers can be made - an equivelant list can be made a the good ones, can't it?

FOR a start I could list the entire 2004/5 squad - may not be the most popular or the greatest ever esembled on paper - but they came away with THE GOLDEN prize.

It is easy to be subjective - objectivity isn't as easy, would you not agree?
