Apparently Chelsea are asking for 25 million for Sturridge... I say no more ridiculously priced english strikers...

Jog on.

I say unsettle him and get him to ask for a move. Or look else where.

The Times have just confirmed that Wallcott has rejected Arsenals attempted contract extension terms. They reckon he could leave in days.

Wallcott made no secret he was a boyhood Liverpool fan, Rodgers has shown an interest.

I would sign him and play him instead of Borini.

Not sure about you guys but neither Walcott nor Sturridge excite me much in terms of new signings.

Walcott flatters to deceive, if a brilliant manager like Wenger can't manage to get him to fulfill his early potential then perhaps nobody can.  He can be excelent on his day but really lacks consistency.

Sturridge I'm a bit more uncertain about.  He could make a good striker,  but all his best work seems to be done out wide yet he can't keep his gob shut about wanting to play centrally.

Don't get me wrong, both are decent players who would maybe give us another attacking option, but I wouldn't break the 10 mil mark for either and for young British players it's not realistic to expect to get them for less than that.

If the Sinclair deal falls through for City we should go after him. I think we are 1 or 2 wide players short at the moment and all of Walcott, Sturridge, Sinclair and N.Dyer aren't too dissimilar in their style of play. 25mill for Sturridge is madness and the last i heard Sinclair is going for around 7 mill which makes it all the more astonishing that City still havent wrapped that deal up.

With the style that Rodgers is trying to play, we need 2 or 3 decent wingers who can run at fullbacks and chip in with goals. Downing has failed in his season+ to prove he can do so and despite making only one start for the side, Sterling is looking like our best wide player (and the best fit for our style) by quite some distance. I still cant understand how we haven't signed any wide players yet but I sure hope we are able to land one before the window closes.

Funny you mentioned Nathan Dyer.

I watched him at the weekend and he was immense.

Don't know if Brendan would have the brass neck to raid Swansea again though!

We have enough "hit and a miss" players ,we need a striker which can score ,if LFC has a 100m dash squad by all means sign Wallcot.

Who also scores goals ( nearly as much as our main striker )and sets up goals ( more than anyone else in our team)

So basically he is nothing like Babel

So 3 days left.

In (one of these)...                Walcott, Sturridge, Dempsey or Sinclair

Out...           Adam, Spearing, Downing

Some mates have said that we may be in for Ibrahim Afellay (winger). They read it in a tabloid (can't remember which one). Has anyone else read / heard about this that can provide more info.........

I think he's on his way to Zenit. Decent enough player but not sure we'd a)match Zenit's bid or b)be willing to take another player on loan
