Certainly Lucas and Allen patrolling in front of the back four is appealing, even if it means there may not be a lot of other movement coming in?

the only thing about that is that it`s a bit defensive imo, there are 11 players in a team, if you have a back 4, a keeper, and 2 holding centre mids then that is 7 players out of the 11 who`s primary job is a defensive one (i know fullbacks can get forward and the defensive CM`s can join in attacks but their main role is defensive), that just leaves 4 players in creative and goalscoring roles and one of them, borini, is noted for his work rate and graft.
i hope lack of creativity doesnt become an issue.

from what i`ve seen of him his range of passing is nowhere near alonso`s, he looked more like a younger version of scott parker to me, but admittedly i havent seen that much of him.

not really a great believer in stats, i`ll watch with my own eyes, if he`s anywhere near alonso in terms of his passing range then i`ll be genuinely amazed.

It wont matter anyway as Rodgers doesnt want him spraying 50 yard passes all over the pitch.

With Lucas the two of them will be used to get hold of the ball, move it quickly and look to dictate posession and tempo of the game.

Both can play, both are great in posession and have enough pace. Both can given time bring it forward if required.

I honestly think Allen Lucas and Gerrard as a 3 could be brilliant.

We then just need to sort out another TOP CLASS wide attacking forward ro play with Suarez and by the looks of it Borini.

Only seen bits mate, looks very fast but finishing and decision making appeared a little erratic to be honest.

What does anyone know about tello?

Ive never even heard of him before now.

I’ve seen him play a couple of games. Every time I saw him play he was on the left of the front 3 and is equally adept at going outside the right back and sending in low crosses/passes into the box or going inside and shooting. He is quick, two footed and has excellent ball control while dribbling so will give any fullback problems. Biggest and quite glaring issues appear to be his awareness and decision making. He doesn’t always pick or even see the best option.  Would be an interesting loan signing if we could pull it off.
