Carroll is actually beginning to look as if one day he may be worth £35m. Raheem Sterling will play a more prominent role and be a serious threat to Downing's position. Henderson is improving. Gerrard is still regaining fitness but the Euros could cause him problems if he is not managed properly. He obviously has a decent relationship with Hodgson or he would not have been given the captaincy. Kelly will continue to improve. Flanaghan and Robinson will provide decent defensive options. Coates will also continue to improve. Aquilani and Cole also have an outside chance of making a contribution but I'm not holding my breath.
Tactics, attitude, belief and determination are going to be key factors. One thing is for sure FSG will not allow a repeat of this seasons league performance.
I'm actually quite excited about the future and it is time for us all to get behind the team and the new manager. THE WHINGING AND MOANING NEEDS TO STOP!

"I think Roberto has put his cards on the table and said 'If I'm going to Liverpool I want the following'," said the Wigan owner. Roberto has to run the football club from top to bottom. Without that I don't think he would go."
I seem to recall a few on here saying Rafa would never get a look in as he wants full control. Well if FSG are really as against that as some think then I doubt Martinez will take the job.

End of the day we are offering a job and it has a description.
If Martinez or anyone else doesnt like it then dont take it but its
not for them to dictate to us how we run our football club simple
as that.

Liverpool approached Rodgers and Martinez and Rodgers also didn't want the job and now it looks like Martinez will be appointed, I am 90% certain he will be our next manager. I hope he can be successful, I remember in season 10/11 when KD was in charge and Wigan came to Anfield for a league game, they totally outclassed Liverpool. Every one of their player was hungry for the ball and their wingers played well. Meireles scored our goal and they scored a dubious goal that looked offside.
Martinez has my respect but he hasn't managed a top side yet and we're taking a big, big,big risk appointing him and it is not a risk worth taking. We appointed mid table manager in Hodgson 2 years ago and we ended up as a mid table club. Now we're appointing a relegation battling club manager, and we will end up as a ...................... club. I'm sure even an 8 year old can correctly fill in the blank. But no, not FSG, how thick can they be. This is just pure shocking decision making.
