Whilst I agree with your sentiment, let me play devils advocate for a moment.
As successful as he has been with Barcelona there is no guarantee that a man who has a total of just 5 years coaching experience all at one club would be able to repeat that success at another club especially one that doesn't contain the plethora of talent that he enjoyed at Barcelona.
Whilst his current stature in the game is one commiserate with what we'd want for a Liverpool manager
IF we were to capture Guardiola I think it would be foolish to expect him to return us to glory in the short term and I'm not sure that a lack of quick success would encourage him to remain for the long term.
Like I said just playing Devils Advocate, of course we should talk to him if he was remotely interested but I'd still harbour some reservations as to whether he would in fact be the right man for the job.
