one aspect that we drop avb maybe 1) he failed to manager the stars at chelshkt ie terry (carra) and lampard (gerrard)
2) he think tat he is a great manager and dont show much keen in managing lfc. that turns us off.
well, an acid test on martinez - the players he will sign. we'll see.

I'm not sure how you can compare Carra and Gerrard to terry and lampard...quite disrespectful really.  Does carra get dirty red cards all the time? Does Carra sleep with his team mates wives and girlfriends?  Does Gerrard just complain about every little thing he's not happy about? And act like a baby when he's benched?  And cause uprisings in the dressing room?  AVB didn't mismanage these players so much as they had an attitude.  If Carra had an attitude then we would have heard all about it this season with him barking at Kenny all the time.  The difference is our club aren't full of c*nts like chelsea are, so AVB wouldn't have that problem here.  Our players would show him the same respect they show any other manager, just the same as if Martinez came in.

I think AVB would be a really good manager here.  I'm not convinced about Martinez, I could really see it go either way with him, but if he does come like some of you have said I'll be behind him 100%.  I would have been ok with Roy sticking around for the rest of the season when he was sacked to be honest, tho I was thrilled when Kenny came in.

he wants to use them a bit more to get wigan a bit higher up the table and not needing a miraculous run of results at the end of the season to avoid relegation.
he`s obviously a charismatic fella and a nice fella so he`s talked himself into the job, his achievements didnt land him the job thats for sure because he`s done f**k all.
oh well, who knows, he could be a good manager
we`ll soon find out.

It's this kind of support that makes our club so special and so unique, we're clearly the greatest football supporters the world will ever see. We don't write off our managers even before they've managed the team in their debut match. We don't slate owners for making tough calls or big decisions. No, we'll always support till the bitter end and no we don't send people twitter messages telling them they have less credibility than the Venky's.

he`s not quite our manager yet lad, anyway i did the same with roy, before he was appointed i ripped his record to shreds but in the end i was one of the very few saying 5 months is nowhere near long enough at a club to put your own stamp on it and i was like a lone voice in the wilderness saying he wouldnt be the first manager in history to have a bad start but turn it around.
and i`m not on twitter so i havent got a clue what you are on about.

Tread carefully mate, its no coincidence he slates Dalglish and the club with disgraceful repetition, and yet acts as though he's FSG's publicist .
:hearts  :unclesam:

Ps ,could you possibly stop quoting the blurt ,its just he's the biggest WUM on the forum and I  have him on ignore .
Its just I would sooner not partake in  his FSG love fest  :hearts  :unclesam: I find it very disconcerting and slightly stomach churning.

The best thing for the owners and Martinez is for them to appoint him soon im thinking this afternoon. He will need time to get the squad how he wants it. Hazards been linked with City UTD and Chelsea. Hulk linked with Chelsea. and spurs will probably wrap up that defender that begins with V soon so we need to move forward.

If teams are getting stronger then we need to aswell and the long wait on appointing a manager isnt going to help

@TonyBarretTimes: Pep Guardiola apparently says he'll be willing to be "seduced" by a club once he's taken a month to recharge his batteries.

Seduced by huge aunts of money from red rom?

Or seduced by taking over a stuggling club with a huge history?

Pep Guardiola hints he may return to management next season

Departing Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has hinted that he could be ready to return to management next season.

The 41-year-old, whose final game in charge of the Catalan club is the Copa del Rey final, opted to leave the Nou Camp to take time away from the game.

But ahead of Friday's match, he said: "I will receive all calls with pleasure, but for the next month I have to recharge my batteries and my mind.

"I will be ready [to return] if one club wants me and seduces me."

Just purely a gut feeling of course, but I think Pep would be attracted by the challenge of bringing us back to the top of English and European football. One thing I have heard is that he has an obsession with the premier league, we'd be fools not to at least approach him.

Guillem Balague ‏@GuillemBalague:

I was at Guardiola's pressa yesterday. He didnt say "for the next month I have to recharge my batteries and my mind",, he said "months"!!!!

Guardiola, as said many times, is to take a sabbatical next season. Guardiola was answering in English my question about a sabbatical and said he'll take "months" off
