as disapointed with that result as anyone .
weve been struggling all year and teams know this and have no fear playing us or coming to anfield.they all fancy a point or snatch a win like what happened today.
we are so obvious in our build up play and teams are comfortable letting us have possession and all they have to do is be patient till we get into the final 3rd and lose it.the longer the game goes on the more desperate we get and then we never look like scoring.
we havent got the players that can change the game for us and put fear into the opposition and thats what needs to change,not the management.
we can play good stuff but are just a couple of players short of being winners and that has to be addressed over the summer with marquee signings who can slot right in and perform.

With the money KK has had and the players, then where we are in the league and how many points we have is the same as rock bottom of the league in my eyes. Just look at Newcastle for example, we need to steal their Chief Scout for a start , P.Cisse, Cabaye, Tiote etc etc. We should be signing these type of players and they are paying peanuts for them aswell. P.Cisse wasn't exactly hiding in the German League, his goal record was excellent. So what are the people behind the scene's doing for crying out loud. Plus R.Sterling should be playing asap, age is nothing. I wud play him if he was 15 years old if he is good enough. KK has to step down and quick. We need Jose(a longshot i know) or Martin Oneill(oustanding manager wherever he goes)

I agreed with everything you wrote up until you mentioned Jose Mourinho and Martin O'Neill.

Who would you want? Jose is best manager out there by a mile as he has proved but probably the most expensive aswell though. O'Neill just gets results as soon as he goes to clubs and his teams fight 100% for every second of the game. Plus they are both proven in the Prem(a crucial factor i feel)

I want the man who won us the 2005 Champions League and the 2006 FA Cup on an annual budget of £12m, plus add-ons from sales of players. That's who I wanted as our manager back then and it is who I still want now.

I've just watched Kenny's post match interview on the Skysports website and the man is "lost for answers", he come across as clueless, the man appears to be out of depth. He has no answers to our problems and as a result we're just coasting along down the same path. When his plan a fails, there's no plan b, or c! We're just plodding along like we always have done under Kenny this season. What's worse is that he doesn't know what his best team is or what his best formation is either, it's just one big mess, yet somehow we've managed to get to two cup finals winning one with the potential to win another.

As Rafa said "if John W Henry gave me £100m, I could probably win the league" and I believe he could, it's just whether or not he is the type of manager that Liverpool would want, because Benitez isn't afraid to speak out against Owners and he likes to have total control over all aspects of the football side of things. I cannot imagine Rafa working too well with a Director of Football above him in the pecking order.

Mourinho is also one of footballs biggest *****. I hope we stay away from him.

We need a fresh start, Norwich away next and i would make them slight fav's to win that match(can't believe i just said that but its true) and that is embarrassing!!!

I think probably best to think about new managers if and when it happens.

This time two years ago, Benitez's Liverpool was sitting just 2 points off 4th place. We were not in a crisis in terms of football on the pitch, off it was a different matter.

There was such an overreaction to one poor season, it was unbelievable. I nearly stopped supporting Liverpool because of the treatment Benitez received from the Owners, the Chief Executive, some of the senior players (Jamie Carragher) and a lot of supporters. I was in tears when Benitez left, I never felt so ashamed to be a Liverpool supporter, if the truth be told. Benitez should not have left, one bad season after having five very good ones (bearing in mind the difficulties that Benitez faced throughout) did not warrant his dismissal. I believe Benitez is still the manager to bring the glory days back to Anfield. I felt that way on May 26th 2005 and I still feel this way on April 22nd 2012.

i actually thought we played quite well today. on any other day we could have won 3 or 4 but as per usual a combination of lack of composure, poor finishing and no luck contributed to us losing. it's like a broken record. henderson had his best game in ages but suarez apart, we were lacking quality in the final third.

The knee jerk reactions in this thread are amazing.  I didn't think it was possible, but alot of you have outdone yourselves.  PERSPECTIVE is needed here in a major way.  The league games right now mean absolutely nothing.  They are glorified friedlies.  Fourth place was gone for us months ago, the best we could do was get into the Europa League.  That's been taken care of.  This season is all about the cups. 

I'm not trying to be a great apologist or anything for our league form.  It is frustrating, but in the grand scheme, it means nothing anyway.  Even the "But Everton are above us in the table"  So what.  We beat them home and away in the league and in the FA Cup semifinal at Webley.

Now, as far as Kenny goes, In my opinion a manager's job is to get players to play in a manner in which if they do their jobs they win.  I believe he has done that this season.  Short of running out on the pitch and putting the ball in the net, what else can he do.  We are defensively sound and create tons of chances.  If you want to argue that it's the players he's brought in that are the problem, and he should have brought in better or paid less for the ones he's got, well, fair enough, and that is something I guess for another thread.

    Excellent point. I'd have Rafa back in a heart beat, he is by far the best manager we can get and the best manager we had since Fagan,although he did loose it and had to go at the end of his last reign. But if we don't want to go back AGAIN then we shoudl consider martinez at Wigan or the managers of Norwich and or Swansea. I've always been a big admirer of O'Neill as well.

Hmm so are you saying that Kenny should just play the reserves every match from here on in because it doesn't matter we come in 7th place or 16th. Not sure all fans would agree with you on this doodle dandy, i certainly don't because it's kind of embarassing to have other fans take th ep1ss and it's even worse to see the team you love loose to fecking WBA and that c&*t Hodgson!!
