Victor - From deportivo

Liverpool Football Club - The Rumour Mill

Postby H_K_LFC » Sun Apr 16, 2006 4:45 pm

I read in the paper today that Victor from Deportivo said he'd be delighted to join Liverpool and he would be a free transfer in the summer.

Did anyone else pick up on this and is there any truth in it??

I just realised i put this in the wrong place, was meant to put it in 'The Rumour Mill'....ma bad  :p

Not Victor meldrew I hope :D
From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.

Good player good skill but (Fowler aside :)  ) I'd prefer us to be looking to sign players that can offer us more than one maybe two good seasons . At 30 Victor is at the wrong end of his career .

At most, he's a short term solution to our right-wing problems.

victor would be a good signing. i understand he's 30, but still could run rings around most of those cheating chelsea pretenders and those at scum

Victor would do a good job for us in the short term. He is on a free transfer so we might as well take him. He has 1-2 years left in him and would serve as a stop gap until Rafa uncovers a younger model or Anderson steps up to the mic.

Judge, agree with your comments.

What harm will a proven player (Victor) do for a couple of seasons though. Not as if he is going to cost us a fortune!!

Gary MacAllistair - waste of time, or brilliant signing?

Say no more.
