second parties are banned in England as well aren't they? Wouldn't we need full ownership, but there is room for sell on shares and what not? Or is that considered second party? In which case we'd have to buy at least 75% then?

hard not to be a bit disappointed when a club like southampton look to be on the verge of signing such a highly rated young player (who can play CB as well btw) whilst we spend almost twice as much on spanish second division players.
what adds insult to injury is that this is only southamptons second season back in the prem where as we havent finished outside the top 8 in the top flight in over half a century yet we are the ones scrambling around for bargains?
i hope the club knows what it`s doing, we could have had wanyama and ericksson this window for a little over £20m but we spend that much on names that sent our fans heading for youtube and wiki to find out who the hell they are.
wanyama has played in the CL and had a stormer against barca, he is a massive threat in both boxes, unbelievable that we arent considering buying him, especially at £12m.

For the money spent on Alberto and Apas we could get this guy and our squad would be massively improved

Second parties? You mean co-ownership, or third parties? Third party onwership was banned in the PL after the Mascherano/Tevez affair. Not sure about co-ownership but I think we would want to avoid any such b0llocks and sign the player outright if we could.

What is interesting about it ? I'm guessing our figures are a bit misleading because of the owner change and a period of selling to buy and making profits in windows

Ahhh, sorry - didn't realise the last two rows were negative. The minus sign was lost amongst the dashes.

yeah, i like the look of luis alberto but it does have to be said he hasnt played a single game in the spanish top flight yet.
it`s a big step up for the lad to go from a division full of aging pro`s and half full stadiums to a league where the likes of mata, hazard, rooney, van persie, silva, aguero, bale, gerrard, suarez etc ply their trade.
with mingolet on the verge of signing we will have spent the best part of £25m again this window on players that imo wont do much to improve the starting XI. alberto might be a good player for us in the future but i`d be amazed if he made any sort of impact next season.
it`s like last summer, we blew £30m on allen, borini, assaidi and sahin, none of whom made themselves regulars in the team.
