why spend £20m+ on someone who will unbalance our forward line?

A one paced crab who scores plenty of goals - that's the sort of thing we got from Rush. We need someone to finish of the chances created. It's been a major problem for years since Torres left

Is it only me that's concerned how Rodgers only seems primarily interested in signing "kids" ?

Ok, I know that question could easily elicit some off topic responses  :D  but I sometimes wonder if our manager finds it easier to deal with relatively young players, like him still making their way in the game, rather than older and more seasoned professionals who might just challenge him ?

He did sign Toure ?

But I think it is as much down to the owners plan of buying before the become established hence cheaper and obviously younger

Agreed. We would have had to accept 10 if they'd played hardball.

Jack Sullivan (David Sullivan's son) has just tweeted this...

Subject to medical Andy Carroll is now a WHU player, 6 year contract. £15.5m plus £2m of extras.
Fingers crossed his medicals fine. #coyi

Still can't believe they agreed on his 100k wage demands.

I highly doubt it's just you, but IMO he's looking for young players he sees can be molded into how he wants us to play.

Obviously as fans in this day and age we want to see immediate results.  Obviously it seems BR is focusing more on putting together a team that he can mold over a couple of years into what he believes will be success in the long run.  And Sustainable for the future.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Not according to Rush himself - he was quick over the first couple of yards because he was quick thinking and knew where to position himself. He got himself in the right place before a defender.

Higuain isn't slow nor is he lighting but he scores goals - regulary and at the top level.
