Uruguyan journalist Pablon Londinsky on Twitter

D.Texeira agents (Montero & Mendez) are now with him in Netherlands because of the interest Liverpool has shown in the player.

all good bigging him up but has anyone seen him play?

I was hoping we would bring someone in who could beef up the first team but Kenny's pretty much said this guy is going straight into the academy

I watched the matches btw Liverpool and Sporting last year, He was one of those that our academy lads couldn't handle.  That was as bad a defeat as I've seen from a Liverpool team (I know it was only a youth cup match, but still!).  I'm sure the games we played against them was a good first hand account of the lad's ability.  From what I remember of the Anfield match, Sporting's entire front line dominated the match.

Im sure I read somewhere that Kenny said he was going into the academy???  Not sure like, how old is he?
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

José is the portuguese one. David's the Uruquayan one (I think). José is 19 and we'll pay £850k. He'll go straight to the academy :(

He is 19 though so not that young. If he adapts quick enough and starts producing in the academy then I imagine maybe next season we could see him feature for the 1st team.

Ya never know, Kenny might be doing the old "This one's for the academy" routine in order to stave off interest from elsewhere. Then we whack him straight in and he scores 5 on his debut.  :D

Hmmm, his hair's a bit long. Not sure he'll fit in with our style.

In the old days we used to have a Reserve team between schoolboys and the first team Bav. I guess Fowler and Owen changed all that.
