Listen we are gonna get Hazard in the summer anyway so might as well clear him out. Besides Kenny doesn't even rate him so to get what we paid for him is good money considering he is a few years older.

Did you hear the one about City? They have so much money they can buy players for their physios to practice on - Hargreaves.

The last three transfer windows we've had a late shock Mash, Torres and now Raul.  Raul, the least significant of the three by a long shot.  I'm not too fussed, but it puts a little pressure on the squad to stay healthy, at least until January.

In hindsight Masch had the worst effect on the side. I don't think Raul will be particularly missed

I read somewhere he put in less tackles for us than he did make appearances, and my mate reckons he can play defensive mid  :D

I heard we have right of first refusal of Sturridge as part of the Meireles deal.  Can anyone confirm?

have to laugh at poor old Arsenal. Sold Nasri and Fabregas only to replace them with a crocked Benayoun and Spain's 10th choice central midfielder, Mikel Arteta

I think you are to optimistic. Arteta is now probably their 20th middfielder of choice.  :D

Complete squad overhaul, I would have wanted a different last day but this is a squad that can at least challenge for fourth.  Couldn't have said that last August.

Very impressed with the dead wood removal
Very impressed with the early Summer signings.
Can't wait to see Coates contribute.

Very impressed with how many players we moved on would have preferred to have kept Meireles or Aquilani, otherwise it's been excellent.

Mixed feelings about the transfer window. I would have liked to keep Meireles but obviously his head was turned by AVB, he handed in a transfer request, so Adios; Aquaman, didn't want to be here, pity it's just a loan deal (for now); gutted we're paying 67% of Cole's wages; dunno what (if anything) we got for Degen, Insua, El Zhar, Poulsen etc.....so while it's money saved on wages, it would've been nice to have some cash recouped for other transfers...
Overall a mixed bag...
