Aside from Chiesa and that lad Arsenal picked up, I didn't see any other Italy player during the Euros that impressed me. Not that I watch Serie A much. Though I did watch Juve v Verona the other night and it was pure mule.

We're only about to play Real Madrid, Laverkuesen and Milan in the CL etc... looks like another 60 game season for the usual 8 core players.
Just to remind you, going into April last season we were looking at winning 4 cups last and ended up with the Milk Cup.

Guessing the Chiesa signing was a sweet little distraction to us having a absolute disastrous transfer window. We've not covered any areas we were weakest last season, and we've let so many players go squad depth is thinner aswell. It's really disappointing!! Only thing that could save this is Virg, Trent and Salah signing new deals.

Although I think Chiesa will do well provided he can avoid injury, must admit his signing does appear to be one where we felt we had do something and it landed on our lap but not really addressed the more pressing issues in the team/squad.

We're desperate for AT LEAST one dmc and one cb and it will cost us in March.

Chiesa at least is an addition but should have signed another player instead of another Keeper. Pointless signing imo.

Outgoings where. Carvalho 27.5mil, Van de Berg 25mil, Clark 10mil, Koumetio undisclosed, Blair undisclosed, Arroyo undisclosed. Also picked up 10mil from Solanke deal I think.
Loans where, Phillips, Bajectic, Doak, Williams, Pitaluga, Ramsey, Chambers and Koumas. Bound to have received a fee for some of them.

We released a good few as well.

One thing I find puzzling is surely there must have been a no 6 out there that would have been an improvement on Endo.

Missing out on a player like we did with Zubimendi can happen but has to be some sort of contingency in place surely. Saw we were linked with Varela at Porto at the last knockings but nothing came of it.

Amazing the number of players we've missed out for that position for a couple of years now. Club must do better in having g a contingency plan as seem to be going I'm every season with a weakness which undermines us challenging for the big prizes.
